2024 Gulf 12 Hours
The 2024 Gulf 12 Hours (officially titled 2024 Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours) was the 14th edition of the Gulf 12 Hours, and was held at Yas Marina Circuit on 13–15 December 2024. For the first time since the 12th edition of the race, it was not part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. Therefore, the race reverted to a split format, with a break after 8 Hours, as opposed to earlier editions that had the break after 6 Hours. Also returning this year is the 992 Cup class reserved for Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars. Entry list Qualifying Qualifying results Fastest times for each car are denoted in bold. Yas Marina Circuit
The Yas Marina Circuit (Arabic: حلبة مرسى ياس) is the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke, and is situated on Yas Island, near Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Yas Marina was the second of four Formula One tracks in the Middle East, with the first being in Bahrain and subsequent tracks in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. A two-day GP2 Asia Series test was held to officially open the circuit, which was held a week before the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It also hosted the opening event for the Australian V8 Supercars series, the Yas V8 400, in February 2010. Outside motorsport the circuit was used for the final stage of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Tour cycle race in 2015. The circuit has an FIA Grade 1 license. James Jakes (born 4 August 1987 in Leeds, West Yorkshire) is a British racing driver. Career T-Cars Jakes started his racing career in 2002 competing in 5 rounds of the T-Car Championship. In 2003 James continued in T-cars, finishing 2nd in the championship. Formula Renault For the 2004 season, Jakes moved into the British Formula Renault Championship with Team AKA. Jakes progressed his skills as a racing driver to the point where he was regularly contending for race wins, helping him to attain 3rd in the championship in 2005. Adam Smalley (born 2 January 2001 in Poulton-le-Fylde, England) is a British racing driver currently competing in the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain with Team Parker Racing. Making his car racing debut in 2017, Smalley has won the title in 3 of the 4 categories he has raced in, and won the 2022-2023 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Junior Driver Award in November 2021, succeeding Harry King. Biography Given his father's unprecedented success in Ferrari Challenge Asia-Pacific, Prette's career began in Asia with the Asian Formula Renault Series in 2016. Roberto Merhi Muntan (born 22 March 1991), is a Spanish racing driver who drove in Formula One for the Manor Marussia F1 Team during the 2015 season. The Mercedes-AMG GT (C190 / R190) is a grand tourer produced in coupé and roadster bodystyles by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG.
