2024 Gold Over America Tour
The 2024 Gold Over America Tour, also called Athleta Presents the 2024 Gold Over America Tour, was the second gymnastics-themed touring show headlined by American artistic gymnast Simone Biles. It began on September 16, 2024, in Oceanside, California, and concluded on November 3, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan, consisting of 32 arena shows across the United States. Several gymnasts from the U.S. women's national team, such as Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, and Joscelyn Roberson and fan-favorites Trinity Thomas, Katelyn Ohashi joined Biles on the 2024 Gold Over America Tour. Unlike the first edition, which only included female gymnasts, the second iteration featured gymnasts from the U.S. men's national team, such as Brody Malone, Paul Juda, Fred Richard, Shane Wiskus, Donnell Whittenburg, and Yul Moldauer. 2021 Gold Over America Tour
The Gold Over America Tour, also called Gap Inc.#Athleta, Athleta Presents Gold Over America Tour, was a 2021 gymnastics-themed touring show headlined by Simone Biles. In late 2019, Biles announced her plans to launch an all-woman tour that would be a mixture of sports and entertainment intended to inspire the next generation of female athletes. Slated to take place after the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Summer Olympic Games, the tour was to mount shows in 35 cities. Former UCLA Bruins women's gymnastics, UCLA gymnast Katelyn Ohashi was the first cast member announced, followed by other high-profile gymnasts, including Gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Olympians Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Grace McCallum, and MyKayla Skinner; and fan-favorites Morgan Hurd, Laurie Hernandez (who also provided the pre-recorded narration for the opening act), and Chellsie Memmel. The United States men's artistic gymnastics team represents the United States in Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique, FIG international competitions. History The first national team roster was established in 1998. The team has competed at the Olympic Games 21 times, winning seven medals. Casimir Schmidt
Casimir Schmidt (born 31 October 1995) is a Dutch artistic gymnast. He won the silver medal on the vault at the 2015 European Games. He is a four-time Dutch national all-around champion (2013, 2019, 2023–24). He represented the Netherlands at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Early life Schmidt was born on 31 October 1995 to parents Gerard and Loes. His older sister, Annabelle, competed in gymnastics and began teaching Casimir back flips in the backyard, leading to Casimir eventually competing in gymnastics too. Career Schmidt won a gold medal on the vault at the 2012 Junior European Championships, and he also finished 14th in the all-around. He began competing in senior international competitions in 2013 and won his first senior national all-around title. That year, he also made his World Championships debut, finishing 18th in the all-around final.
