2024 Fresh From Florida 250
The 2024 Fresh From Florida 250 was the 1st stock car race of the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the 25th iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, a permanent tri-oval shaped asphalt superspeedway. The race was originally scheduled to be contested over 100 laps, but was extended to 101 laps due to a NASCAR overtime finish. In a wild race that saw several crashes, Nick Sanchez, driving for Rev Racing, would win his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race when a multi-truck accident occurred on the final lap with him in the lead when the caution was thrown. Sanchez was a consistent presence during the race, leading a race-high 26 laps, despite his involvement in an earlier accident. Fresh From Florida 250
The Fresh From Florida 250 is the first race of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season at Daytona International Speedway and as of 2004 has been held under the lights. It is the Truck Series event of Speedweeks – the series of races leading up to the Daytona 500. Winners of the event include Mike Wallace, Joe Ruttman, Robert Pressley, Rick Crawford, Carl Edwards, Bobby Hamilton, Mark Martin, Jack Sprague, Todd Bodine (twice), Timothy Peters, Michael Waltrip, John King, Johnny Sauter (three times), Kyle Busch, Tyler Reddick, Kaz Grala, Austin Hill, and Zane Smith (twice). The Truck Series does not run restrictor plates, devices used by the Xfinity Series stock cars to reduce horsepower and slow the cars down at Daytona and Talladega. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the NASCAR, National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck-based stock car racing, stock cars. Talladega Superspeedway
Talladega Superspeedway (Alabama International Motor Speedway from 1969 to 1989) is a tri-oval superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama. Built in 1969, the track has hosted a variety of racing events, primarily races sanctioned by NASCAR. The track is owned by NASCAR and led by track president Brian Crichton. Michigan International Speedway
Michigan International Speedway (formerly named as the Michigan Speedway from 1997 to 2000) is a D-shaped oval superspeedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. Pocono Raceway (formerly known as the Pocono International Raceway in early years) is a tri-oval track in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania. Daniel Wayne Dye (born December 4, 2003) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro (sixth generation), Chevrolet SS for Kaulig Racing.
