2024 Damallsvenskan
The 2024 Damallsvenskan was the 37th season of the Swedish women's association football top division, Damallsvenskan. The league began on 13 April 2024, and ended on 9 November 2024. The league had a five-week break from 6 July to 11 August. AIK and Trelleborg FF were new teams for this season after being promoted from Elitettan. Damallsvenskan
The (; ), known as OBOS for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in Sweden. It is one of the best women's leagues in the world, and was founded in 1988. The division consists of a league of 14 teams. From 2013, the began operating on a system of promotion and relegation with the Elitettan. The two lowest placed teams are relegated to the Elitettan, and the two highest placed teams from the Elitettan are promoted in their place. Starting with the 2022 season the league has been expanded from 12 to 14 teams. The first Swedish women's national championship was played in 1973. Kristianstads DFF
Kristianstads DFF () is a women's association football club from Kristianstad, Sweden. The club is affiliated to the Scania Football Association. History Wä IF was founded in 1935 and their women team played from 1990 to 1994 and again in 1998 in the Damallsvenskan. The team merged on 5 November 1998 with the women team of Kristianstads FF to become Kristianstad/Wä DFF. The team continued as Kristianstad/Wä DFF during the seasons of 1999 until 2001 in the Damallsvenskan. In 2006 the club was renamed to the current name Kristianstads DFF. Prominent players to have represented the club include Malin Andersson, Therese Sjögran, Sara Johansson and Nilla Fischer. Grimsta IP
Grimsta IP is a multi-use stadium in Vällingby, Sweden. It is currently used for association football, football matches and is the home stadium of IF Brommapojkarna. The stadium holds 5,000 people after the latest expansion. The latest expansion took place between 2015 and 2017 with the construction of the new stand that cost 57 million kronor, it includes also the construction of new locker rooms, a new press stand and a new bar. The new stand, with more than 2,000 seats, fulfills the requirement of the Swedish football association for having the license for playing in Superettan and Allsvenskan. The inauguration of the new Grimsta IP was celebrated on 8 April 2017 with the Superettan football game between IF Brommapojkarna and Örgryte IS (3-0) in front of 1,722 spectators. Hammarby IP (short for "''Hammarby Idrottsplats''", "Hammarby Sports Ground") also known as "Kanalplan", is a football stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. The current main tenant is the women's football team Hammarby IF. The stadium was officially opened by Gustaf VI Adolf, at the time the crown prince of Sweden in 1915. Renovation Due to Hammarby winning promotion to Damallsvenskan in 2014 season, it was unclear if Hammarby IF DFF still would play in Kanalplan. The stadium didn't meet the requirements for the top-tier league because of "bad condition of the field and the surrounding area". Bravida Arena
Nya Rambergsvallen, currently known as Bravida Arena for sponsorship reasons, and as Hisingen Arena for UEFA competitions, is an association football stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. The project was initiated by Allsvenskan side BK Häcken and Gothenburg Municipality to build a new 6,000 to 7,000 capacity stadium in the Hisingen area of Gothenburg, Sweden. Piteå Idrottsförening (), commonly known as Piteå IF (), is a Swedish football club located in Piteå that currently competes in Sweden's top-division women's league, Damallsvenskan, which it won in 2018.
