The 2024 Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina was the 16th edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina (also referred to as the ''Copa Libertadores Femenina''), South America's premier women's club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. Although the competition was originally scheduled to be held in Uruguay from 3 to 19 October 2024, on 29 August 2024, CONMEBOL announced that the competition would be moved to Paraguay. The defending champions Corinthians defeated Santa Fe (Colombia) 2–0 in the final to win their fifth title. Format For the group stage, the 16 teams were drawn into four groups. Teams in each group played one another in a round-robin basis, with the top two teams of each group advancing to the quarter-finals. The Primera División A (; ), known officially as Campeonato Femenino YPF for sponsorship reasons, is a semi-professional women's football league in Argentina. The tournament is ruled by the Argentine Football Association (AFA), with its first season held in 1991. Since 2016, the tournament has been the highest tier of the Argentine women's football league system following the creation of a second division called Primera División B. It applies a system of promotion and relegation with it, with the teams finishing at the bottom of the annual standings being relegated. Before then, the Primera División A was simply named "Campeonato de Fútbol Femenino", as it was the only women's football tournament in existence. The 2009 Copa Libertadores de Fútbol Femenino (officially Copa Banco Santander, Santander Libertadores de Fútbol Femenino 2009) for sponsorship reasons) was the first edition of the Copa Libertadores Femenina, CONMEBOL's premier annual international women's club tournament. The competition was played in Santos, São Paulo, Santos, São Paulo and Guarujá, Brazil, from October 3 to 18, 2009. Santos FC (women), Santos defeated Universidad Autónoma de Asunción (football), Universidad Autónoma 9–0 to win their first Copa Libertadores Femenina title. Santos Futebol Clube, commonly known as Santos or Sereias da Vila, is a Brazilian women's association football club, based in the city of Santos, São Paulo state, Brazil. They won the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino once, the Copa do Brasil twice and the Copa Libertadores Femenina twice. The 2015 Copa Libertadores Femenina was the 7th edition of the Copa Libertadores Femenina, South America's premier women's club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino A-1 (officially the Brasileirão Feminino Neoenergia 2023 for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th season of the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino Série A1, the top level of women's football in Brazil, and the 7th edition in a Série A1 since its establishment in 2016. The 2021 Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina was the 13th edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina (also referred to as the ''Copa Libertadores Femenina''), South America's premier women's club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The competition was initially scheduled to be played from 30 September to 16 October 2021 in Chile. On 29 July 2021, CONMEBOL announced that although the other rounds would be played in Chile, the final match would be played at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Uruguay on 24 November 2021. Thus, the final was to be played between the 2021 Copa Sudamericana and the men's 2021 Copa Libertadores finals that would also be played in Montevideo. The 2019 Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina was the 11th edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina (also referred to as the ''Copa Libertadores Femenina''), South America's premier women's club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL.
