2024 Clean Harbors 250
The 2024 Clean Harbors 250 was the 16th stock car race of the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the final race of the regular season, and the 5th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia, a permanent quad-oval shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 250 laps to complete. Ty Majeski, driving for ThorSport Racing, would take the lead from Christian Eckes late in the race to earn his fifth career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win, and won back to back races. Grant Enfinger led a race-high 98 laps. Clean Harbors 250
The Clean Harbors 250 is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Richmond Raceway. The race was initially held from 1995 to 2005 before being removed from the schedule in 2006. The race returned to the Truck Series schedule 14 years later in 2020. In the race's first stint on the Truck Series schedule, it was 200 laps. When it returned in 2020, the distance was 250 laps. In 2020, NASCAR removed the spring Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway in favor of a race at Richmond Raceway in the spring. This schedule change was done in a swap with Martinsville, which previously had two Truck Series races and zero Xfinity Series races and would now have one Truck Series race and one Xfinity Series race. As a result, the Xfinity Series would lose their spring race at Richmond in favor of a race at Martinsville in the fall. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck based stock cars. William Sawalich (born October 3, 2006) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series East, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series West, driving the No. 18 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing.
