2021 Chilean Gubernatorial Elections
The first election of regional governors was held on 15 and 16 May 2021, in conjunction with elections of members for the Constitutional Convention and local authorities. 2024 Chilean Municipal Elections
The 2024 Chilean municipal elections were held on 26 and 27 October 2024. The elections were held on the same day as regional elections. The combined municipal and regional elections had a paricipation rate of 85% which makes it the election with the highest voter turnout in the history of Chile. Among the defeated candidates were a series of high profile politicians like Karla Rubilar, Marcela Cubillos, Iván Poduje and the incumbent mayor of Santiago Irací Hassler who lost to Mario Desbordes.
