Both Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and John Parry earned immediate promotion to the European Tour during the 2024 season by winning three times on the Challenge Tour. Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour, currently titled as the HotelPlanner Tour for sponsorship reasons and also sometimes referred to as the European Challenge Tour, is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and similarly with the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986, when the national tours of Sweden, France and Italy became open to foreign players, and was initially called the Satellite Tour. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour, a name already used in 1989. Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen
Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (born 3 July 1999) is a Danish professional golfer. In 2024, he won three times on the Challenge Tour and topped the rankings. Amateur career Neergaard-Petersen had a successful amateur career and won the 2017 Danish Junior Championship, and the German International Amateur Championship back-to-back in 2018 and 2019. He was runner-up at the 2017 Duke of York Young Champions Trophy, and at the 2018 European Nations Cup – Copa Sotogrande. He lost the final of the 2020 Western Amateur to Pierceson Coody, 3 and 2, and was runner-up at the 2022 European Amateur. Representing the Danish National Team he won the 2017 European Boys' Team Championship at La Manga Club in Spain, and finished 3rd at the 2022 European Amateur Team Championship, beating England in the Bronze match at Royal St George's Golf Club. John Parry (golfer)
John Anthony Parry (born 17 November 1986) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour, where he has won twice. Early life and career Parry was born in Harrogate. He won several high-profile amateur tournaments including the Danish and Spanish Amateur Championships, and represented Great Britain and Ireland in the Walker Cup before turning professional at the end of 2007. Parry won the 2009 Allianz Golf Open Grand Toulouse on the Challenge Tour. He ended that season in 14th place on the Challenge Tour Rankings to earn his card on the top level European Tour for 2010. During his rookie season he won the Vivendi Cup to secure a one-year exemption on the tour. Parry was unable to follow up his win and in 2021, he was playing on the third-tier PGA EuroPro Tour. He won the Cumberwell Park Championship in June 2021 and finished fifth on the Order of Merit, securing status to play on the 2022 Challenge Tour. The European Tour, currently titled as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons, and legally the PGA European Tour or the European Tour Group, is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. The organisation also operates the European Senior Tour (for players aged 50 or older) and the developmental Challenge Tour; the second tier of men's professional golf in Europe. The tour's headquarters are at Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. The European Tour was established by the British-based Professional Golfers' Association through the 1970s, and responsibility was transferred to an independent PGA European Tour organisation in 1984. Robin Williams (golfer)
Robin Tiger Williams (born 16 September 2001) is an English-South African professional golfer who plays on the Sunshine Tour. Early life and amateur career Williams was born in Stellenbosch, South Africa and moved to the UK at the age of eight due to his father's work commitments. Robin moved to Peterborough in August 2010 where he joined the junior section of Peterborough Milton Golf Club in England. In 2023 he was made an Honorary Member of Peterborough Milton in recognition of his debut win on the Sunshine Tour and still returns to play and practice at the club when on breaks from tournament play. Robin represented England as an amateur at boys and mens level. He represented Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup in 2018; also meeting Tiger Woods, who his middle name is taken from. 2024 European Tour Qualifying School Graduates
The 2024 European Tour Qualifying School graduates were determined following the conclusion of the 2024 European Tour (DP World Tour) Qualifying School Final Stage which was played 8–14 November at Infinitum Golf in Tarragona, Spain. It was the 47th edition of the European Tour Qualifying School. The top 20 and ties (21 in total) earned status to play on the 2025 European Tour, with the remaining players who finished outside the top 20 and ties, but having made the 72-hole cut, earning status to play on the 2025 Challenge Tour. It was the first year in which the number of cards available at Q School had been reduced from 25 to 20 (including ties). Edoardo Molinari won the event, scoring a six-round total of 399 (29 under par) with play being extended by one day due to adverse weather conditions.
