2024 Campeonato Paraense
The 2024 Campeonato Paraense was the 112th edition of Pará's top professional football league. The competition started on 20 January and ended on 14 April. Paysandu won the championship for the 50th time. Globo Esporte, 14 April 2024 Format Three groups with four clubs, with the teams of one group facing those of the other two. The eight best teams in the overall standings advance to the final stage. The matches of the quarter-finals, semi-finals, third place play-offs and the finals will be played on a home-and-away two-legged basis. Júnior Amorim
Misomar Rodrigues de Amorim Júnior (born 3 October 1972), known as Júnior Amorim, is a Brazilian retired footballer who played as a forward, and is a manager. Playing career Amorim was born in Belém, Pará, and finished his formation with Vasco da Gama. After making his senior debut with Passo Fundo in 1992, he moved abroad to join R.E. Mouscron in the following year before returning to Sampaio Corrêa. Amorim's first title came up in 1999, as he won the Campeonato Potiguar with ABC. After representing União São João, Portuguesa, Fortaleza and Sport Recife, he was the top goalscorer of the 2002 Campeonato Pernambucano with Santa Cruz, scoring 12 goals. Artur Duarte de Oliveira (born 27 December 1969), sometimes known as just Artur, is a Brazilian football coach and former player who played as a forward. He is the current head coach of Caeté. Marabá is a municipality in the state of Pará, Brazil. Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state.
