2024 CS Nebelhorn Trophy
The 2024 CS Nebelhorn Trophy was held on September 19–21, 2024, in Oberstdorf, Germany. It was part of the 2024–25 ISU Challenger Series. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 figure skating season, 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four (Single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Pair Skating
Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man". Pair skating, along with men's and women's single skating, has been an Olympic discipline since figure skating, the oldest Winter Olympic sport, was introduced at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. The ISU World Figure Skating Championships introduced pair skating in 1908. Like the other disciplines, pair skating competitions consist of two segments, the short program and the free skating program. Georgii Reshtenko
Georgii Reshtenko (born 19 December 2002) is Russian-Czech figure skater, competing in men's singles. Since 2017, he has represented the Czech Republic. He is a two-time Czech national champion (2024-25), and a participant in the World Figure Skating Championships (2023). Personal life Reshtenko was born on 19 December 2002, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. In addition to figure skating, he also enjoys playing football, tennis, and the violin. In April 2023, Reshtenko spoke out against the poor treatment of Russian immigrants across Europe in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the failure to separate politicians from ordinary people. Jari Kessler
Jari Kessler (born 29 November 1996) is a Croatian and Italian figure skater. For Croatia, he is the 2020 NRW Trophy champion, 2022 Jegvirag Cup silver medalist, 2022 Merano Ice Trophy bronze medalist, and four-time Croatian national champion (2020, 2023–25). He represented Italy until spring 2019, winning three senior international medals. Personal life Kessler was born in Cles, Italy. He played pond hockey before switching to figure skating.
