2024 CRO Race
The 2024 CRO Race was a road cycling stage race in Croatia that was held between 1 October and 6 October 2024. It was the ninth edition of the Tour of Croatia since its revival in 2015 and the fifth under the ''CRO Race'' name. The race was rated as a category 2.1 event on the 2024 UCI Europe Tour calendar. 2024 UCI Europe Tour
The 2024 UCI Europe Tour is the 20th season of the UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are being awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points were awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Krk (town)
Krk is the main settlement of the island of Krk, west Croatia. The town shares its name with the island of Krk, which is derived from the Latin name for the island, Curitarum. History It is located on the southwest coast of the island and is the historical seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Krk. The city is ancient, being among the oldest in the Adriatic Sea. Senj
Senj is a town on the upper Adriatic coast in Croatia, in the foothills of the Mala Kapela and Velebit mountains. The symbol of the town is the Nehaj Fortress () which was completed in 1558. For a time this was the seat of the Uskoks, who were Christian refugees from Ottoman Bosnia resettled here to protect the Habsburg monarchy, Habsburg borderlands. The Republic of Venice accused the Uskoks of piracy and declared Uskok War, war on them, which led to their expulsion following a truce in 1617. Otočac
Otočac () is a town in Croatia, former bishopric and present Latin Catholic titular see. It lies in the northwestern part of Lika region, in the Gacka river valley. The population of the administrative area of the Town of Otočac was 9,778 in 2011, with 4,240 in Otočac itself, the majority of whom were Croats (91%). Opatija
Opatija (; ; ) is a List of cities and towns in Croatia, town and a municipality in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in northwestern Croatia. Novi Vinodolski
Novi Vinodolski (, often also called Novi or ''Novi del Vinodol'' o ''Novi in Valdivino'' in Italian) is a town on the Adriatic Sea coast in Croatia, located south of Crikvenica, Selce and Bribir and north of Senj. The population of Novi is 3,988, with a total of 5,131 people in the city administered area. The city area became a Frankopan property in the 13th century, marking the period to which the most valuable heritage is dated, including the Law codex of Vinodol. City hinterland is dominated by the Vinodol Valley, used for agriculture and winemaking. Juan Sebastián Molano Benavides (born 11 April 1994) is a Colombian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Molano was named in the startlist for the 2017 Vuelta a España. He started riding in the 2019 Giro d'Italia, but he was suspended by his team following stage 3 after "seemingly unusual physiological results". The team refrained from commenting further until more tests were carried out. Molano did not start stage 4. Novalja
Novalja () is a town on the north of the island of Pag in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea. In recent times, Novalja has become famous because of the Zrće Beach. Biograd na Moru (), shortened to simply Biograd, is a town in northern Dalmatia in Croatia. It is significant for being another capital of the medieval Kingdom of Croatia.
