2024 British Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2024 British motorcycle Grand Prix (officially known as the Monster Energy British Grand Prix) was the tenth round of the 2024 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It was held at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone on 4 August 2024. All 11 teams and riders have officially unveiled their special liveries ahead of this weekend’s 75th anniversary celebrations at the Monster Energy British Grand Prix. Álex Rins withdrew from the race due to a hand and foot injury he sustained during the Dutch round. Monster Energy is an energy drink that was created by Hansen Natural Company (now Monster Beverage Corporation) in April 2002. As of March 2019, Monster Energy had a 35% share of the energy drink market, the second highest share after Red Bull. Adrián Fernández González (born 31 January 2004) is a Spanish motorcycle racer, currently competing in the 2022 Moto3 World Championship for Red Bull KTM Tech3. His older brother, Raúl, is also a motorcycle racer for KTM Tech3 in the MotoGP class. They are not related to Moto2 rider Augusto Fernández. Maverick Viñales Ruiz (; born 12 January 1995) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer. Viñales is the 2013 Moto3 World Champion, currently riding in MotoGP for the Aprilia Racing team, after five seasons as a MotoGP factory rider with the Yamaha Factory Racing team, his contract was terminated by mutual consent midway through the 2021 season. Career Early career Born in Figueres, Alt Empordà, Viñales began competitive racing at the age of three in minimotos before moving onto motocross and eventually to circuit racing in 2002, competing in the Catalan 50cc Championship, before several successful seasons in 70cc "metrakit" bikes. In 2007, he became champion of the Catalan 125cc Championship, and repeated the feat in 2008, as well as winning the Mediterranean Trophy. Marc Márquez Alentà (born 17 February 1993) is a Spanish professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer, who has raced for Honda's factory team since his MotoGP debut in 2013. Born in Cervera, Catalonia, Spain, he is nicknamed the 'Ant of Cervera' worldwide (due to his height of 1.68m), and 'el tro de Cervera' in his hometown, meaning the 'Thunder of Cervera'. The 2024 Dutch TT (officially known as the Motul TT Assen) was the eighth round of the 2024 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season and the fifth round of the 2024 MotoE World Championship. Álex Rins
Álex Rins Navarro (born 8 December 1995) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer for the LCR Honda Castrol in the MotoGP class. He was the 2011 CEV Buckler 125 Junior GP Champion, and made his Grand Prix motorcycle racing debut in the Moto3 World Championship during the season. Career Moto3 World Championship Born in Barcelona, Rins began his career in Moto3 with the Estrella Galicia 0,0 team. In his second meeting, Rins took pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix. He took his first podium in France, with third place. He scored no further podiums, but was very consistent throughout the remainder of the season, regularly finishing in the top ten.
