2024 Big Ten Conference Football Season
The 2024 Big Ten Conference football season was the 129th season of college football play for the Big Ten Conference and part of the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This was the Big Ten's first season with 18 teams with the additions of UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Washington, and its first season since 2010 with a non-divisional scheduling format. Previous season Michigan won the East Division championship, with the Wolverines making their third consecutive appearance in the Big Ten Championship Game. In the West Division, Iowa won the division title and made their third championship game appearance. In that championship game, Michigan defeated Iowa 26–0 to win the Big Ten championship. With that win, the Wolverines landed a spot in the 2023–24 College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed and ultimately won the national championship. Lucas Oil Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in downtown Indianapolis, downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It replaced the RCA Dome as the home field of the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). It opened on August 16, 2008.
