The 2024 Bass Pro Shops Night Race was a NASCAR Cup Series race held on September 21, 2024, at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The race was contested over 500 laps on the .533 mile (0.858 km) short track. It was the 29th race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, the third of the 2024 NASCAR playoffs, and the final race of the Round of 16. Kyle Larson won the race. Chase Elliott finished 2nd, and Bubba Wallace finished 3rd. Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell rounded out the top five, and Ryan Blaney, Ryan Preece, Chase Briscoe, Alex Bowman, and Ross Chastain rounded out the top ten. Bass Pro Shops Night Race
The Bass Pro Shops Night Race is a NASCAR Cup Series stock car race held at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. It is one of two NASCAR Cup Series races held at Bristol, the other being the Food City 500. From 1978 to 2019, the race has been held in late August, typically on the last weekend of the month, on a Saturday night. The race is currently the final race in the NASCAR playoffs' Round of 16. History From 2001 to 2015, Newell Rubbermaid has been the title sponsor of the race, and until 2009 their marker pen brand Sharpie lent its name to the race. Newell Rubbermaid elected to change the race branding to promote one of its other brands, Irwin Industrial Tools. For the 2016 season, the main title sponsor switched to outdoor recreational retailer Bass Pro Shops. The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series was the 76th season for NASCAR professional stock car racing in the United States and the 53rd season for the modern-era Cup Series. The Clash would then be followed by the Bluegreen Vacations Duel qualifying races on February 15. Bubba Wallace
William Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr. (born October 8, 1993) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE for 23XI Racing. Wallace was previously a development driver in Toyota's driver development program where he drove part-time for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series and full-time for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Camping World Truck Series.
