2024 Baltic Sea Darts Open
The 2024 Baltic Sea Darts Open known as the 2024 NEO.bet Baltic Sea Darts Open for sponshorship reasons, was the sixth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2024 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the Wunderino Arena, Kiel, Germany from 10 to 12 May 2024. It featured a field of 48 players and £175,000 in prize money, with £30,000 going to the winner. Dave Chisnall was the defending champion after defeating Luke Humphries 8–5 in the 2023 final. Chisnall lost 6–5 to Madars Razma in the second round. Rob Cross won his second European Tour title, beating Luke Humphries 8–6 in the final. In the final, Humphries hit his second nine-darter on the European Tour. It came in the eighth leg. Wunderino Arena
The Wunderino-Arena (formerly known as Ostseehalle) is an indoor arena, in Kiel, Germany. It is primarily used by THW Kiel (team handball) and as a venue for rock/pop concerts. It holds up to 13,500 people. History Construction was determined in 1950 by the Kiel council meeting. The Osteseehalle was initiated on 17 June 1951, during the Kiel Week and was eventually finished in 1952. For this purpose, the steel construction of a retired airplane hangar, from an airbase on the island Sylt, was dismantled and brought to Kiel. Over the course of decades, the arena was constantly redeveloped, and since renovations finished in September 2001, it is now "prepared for the next 50 years", according to the operators. On 1 January 2008, the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe purchased the naming rights. On 1 July 2020, the name changed to Wunderino Arena. PDC Order Of Merit
The PDC Order of Merit is a world ranking system used by one of the darts organisations, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Following the 2007 PDC World Darts Championship it superseded a world ranking system based on points being awarded for performances in ranking tournaments. 4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures.
