2024 Badminton Asia Championships
The 2024 Badminton Asia Championships (officially known as the Bank of Ningbo Badminton Asia Championships 2024 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament that took place at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Ningbo, China, from 9 to 14 April 2024 and had a total prize of US$450,000. Tournament The 2024 Badminton Asia Championships is the 41st edition of the Badminton Asia Championships. This tournament was organized by the Chinese Badminton Association with sanction from the Badminton Asia. Venue This tournament will be held at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Ningbo, China. Li Shifeng
Li Shifeng (; born 9 January 2000) is a Chinese badminton player. He started playing badminton when he was 6 years old, getting support from his father. Li then practiced in the Jiangxi team when he was in the elementary school, after that went to the Bayi team. At the age of 14, he participated in the National youth team training centre in Shenyang and entered the National second team in 2017. He was part of the Chinese junior team that won the gold medals at the 2017, 2018 World Junior Championships, and 2018 Asian Junior Championships. Li represented his country and competed at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and clinched the gold medal in the boys' singles event. Zheng Yu
Zheng Yu (; born 7 February 1996) is a Chinese badminton player from the Jiangsu province team. She started playing badminton in 2003, claimed the Jiangsu province title in the singles and doubles category in 2006 and 2007, then was selected to join the national team for the first time in 2010. She was part of the national junior team that won the mixed team gold medals at the 2011 Asian and 2012 World Junior Championships. Zhang Shuxian ( zh, 张殊贤; ''Zhāng Shūxián'') is a Chinese badminton player. Career Early career Zhang attended Luzhou Zilu Road School. Later, she was recommended by the city sports school to enter the Sichuan badminton team training, and was transferred to the Sichuan team as an official member in 2016, and was selected for China in the same year in national youth team. Soh Wooi Yik (, born 17 February 1998) is a Malaysian badminton player. He was part of the Malaysian 2015 BWF World Junior Championships, 2015 and 2016 BWF World Junior Championships team, and has helped Malaysia clinch a silver medal in mixed team after being defeated by China in 2016. Aaron Chia Teng Fong (Chinese: 谢定峰, born 24 February 1997) is a Malaysian badminton player. He joined the national team since 2015. He represented Malaysia in the 2018 Thomas Cup. Goh Sze Fei ( zh, t=吳世飛, p=Wú Shìfēi; born 18 August 1997) is a Malaysian badminton player. He won the 2022 German Open in the men's doubles event partnered with Nur Izzuddin, their first BWF World Tour title. Early life Goh finished his primary school in SJK(C) Chung Hua Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. He Bingjiao (; Mandarin pronunciation: ; born 21 March 1997) is a Chinese badminton player. She began to receive intensive badminton training at the Suzhou Junior Sports School, when she was 7 years old. Five years later, she was sent to study in Nanjing and for tougher training there.
