2024 Australian Darts Masters
The 2024 Australian Darts Masters was the first staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation, and the sixth entry in the 2024 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players (eight PDC players and eight regional qualifiers) and was held at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong, Australia on 9–10 August 2024. Gerwyn Price won the tournament, defeating Luke Littler 8–1 in the final. Prize money The total prize fund remained at £60,000. Qualifiers The PDC announced the 8 elite players on 7 May. Both Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall declined their invites for family reasons. Wollongong Entertainment Centre
Wollongong Entertainment Centre (also known by its naming rights sponsor WIN Entertainment Centre and colloquially as the WEC) is a multi-purpose indoor arena, located in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. The WEC opened on 5 September 1998 with a concert by Bob Dylan and Patti Smith; 4,935 people attended the event. Dylan performed at the venue again in 2011, performing to a crowd of 3,214 people, and again in 2018. The arena is 3 minutes walk from the city centre and has hosted a variety of events including Federation Cup tennis, world championship boxing and international musical acts. Gerwyn Stephen Price (born 7 March 1985) is a Welsh professional darts player and former professional rugby union and rugby league player. Nicknamed "The Iceman", he competes in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), where he is currently the World No. 4. He is the current PDC World Youth Champion, and the current Bahrain Masters Champion, and is the youngest player to have won a match in the WDF World Darts Championship, and PDC World Darts Championship. Nathan Aspinall (born 15 July 1991) is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He won the 2019 UK Open with a 170 checkout in the final leg against former World Champion Rob Cross. Career Aspinall began playing in PDC Development and Challenge Tour events in 2012.
