2024 Asian Tour
The 2024 Asian Tour was the 29th season of the modern Asian Tour (formerly the Asian PGA Tour), the main professional golf tour in Asia (outside of Japan) since it was established in 1995. Changes for 2024 New tournaments for the 2024 season included the International Series Macau and the Black Mountain Championship. Additionally, in February 2024, it was confirmed that a new tournament in a new continent to the Asian Tour, would be added to the schedule; the Karen Classic to be played in August at Karen Country Club in Kenya. However, the tournament was later removed from the schedule and did not take place. The DGC Open and the World City Championship from the 2023 schedule were dropped for the 2024 season. John Catlin (golfer)
John Catlin (born November 15, 1990) is an American professional golfer who plays on the European Tour, Asian Tour and as a reserve on LIV. He has won three times on the European Tour and has also won six times on the Asian Tour. Amateur career Catlin was born and grew up in Sacramento, California, United States. He picked up the game from an early age and found a lot of success as an amateur, winning consecutive NCGA State Match Play Championships in 2010 and 2011, and Memorial Amateur Championships in 2011 and 2012. Catlin then went on to play for the University of New Mexico where he was an Academic All-American and an honorable mention NCAA All-American in 2012. In the same year he also won the Arizona Intercollegiate and was named UNM Student-Athlete of the year. Japan Golf Tour
The Japan Golf Tour () is a prominent professional golf tour. It was founded in 1973 and as of 2006, it offered the third-highest annual prize fund out of the regular (that is not for seniors) men's professional tours after the PGA Tour and the European Tour. However, since the early 1990s, the growth in prize money has not kept pace with that on the two larger tours. Official events on the Japan Golf Tour count for Official World Golf Ranking points and success on the tour can also qualify members to play in the majors. Most of the leading players on the tour are Japanese, but players from many other countries also participate. The tour is currently run by the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO), which was established in 1999 to separate the tour from the PGA of Japan. The GS Caltex Maekyung Open, as it is known for sponsorship reasons, is a professional golf tournament that takes place in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It was established in 1982, replacing the Korea Open as the South Korean event on the Asia Golf Circuit. Between 1999 and 2009 (except for 2004) it was a stop on the Asian Tour, and then in 2010 it became part of the OneAsia Tour schedule.
