2024 A-Leagues All Stars Men Game
The 2024 A-Leagues All Stars Men game was the fourth edition of the A-Leagues All Stars Game, and the first since the 2022 A-Leagues All Stars Game, 2022 Game. It was held at Docklands Stadium, Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on 24 May 2024 against English club Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United as part of Global Football Week Melbourne. Pre-match In March 2024, the A-Leagues announced that the A-League All Stars Men would play Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United at Docklands Stadium, Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on 24 May 2024 as part of Global Football Week Melbourne – shortly ahead of the 2024 A-League Men Grand Final. 2023–24 A-League Men
The 2023–24 A-League Men, known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons, is the 47th season of national level men's soccer in Australia, and the 19th since the establishment of the competition as the A-League in 2004. This season is expected to be the last as a 12 team competition, with expansion to 14 teams from 2024–25. Garang Mawien Kuol (born 15 September 2004) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian, on loan from Premier League club Newcastle United. Born in Egypt and raised in Australia to South Sudanese parents, he represents the Australia national team. Early life Kuol was born on 15 September 2004, in Egypt to South Sudanese parents. Eddie Howe
Edward John Frank Howe (born 29 November 1977) is an English professional football manager and former player, who is the head coach of Premier League club Newcastle United. A defender during his playing career, Howe spent most of his playing career with AFC Bournemouth, coming up through the youth system and spending eight years with the club, before returning for a second three-year spell to end his career, and retiring from the professional game in 2007. 2024 A-League Men Finals Series
The 2024 A-League Men finals series was the 19th annual edition of A-League finals series, the playoffs tournament staged to determine the champion of the 2023–24 A-League Men season. The series was played over four weeks culminating in the 2024 A-League Men Grand Final. On 18 October 2023, the decision to host the 2023, 2024 and 2025 A-League Men Grand Finals in Sydney was reversed and renegotiated into Unite Round. Qualification The top two teams; Central Coast Mariners and Wellington Phoenix, qualify directly for the semi-finals. The teams placed third through to sixth play in the elimination-finals, with the third and fourth placed teams; Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC, hosting the matches. Michael Theo (formerly Theoklitos) (born 11 February 1981) is an Australian goalkeeper who is the goalkeeping coach at A-League club Western United FC. Career Early career Theoklitos began his career as a young lad playing in the Victorian Premier League (VPL) for Bulleen Zebras. He was then picked up by South Melbourne FC but failed to make an impact ahead of number 1 Eugene Galekovic. After 5 appearances for Hellas, he was sold to the Football Kingz FC for the 2001–2002 season where he became a fan favourite making 20 appearances in the National Soccer League. During his time with the Kingz he was scouted by Blackpool FC who signed him in 2002. Due to injury he only played in three games, only two of which counted as full representation for Blackpool. Robert Stanton (soccer)
Robert Stanton (born 15 April 1972 in Sydney, Australia) is a former Australian football (soccer) player and current head coach of Newcastle Jets's A-league side. He primarily played as a defender. Club career Stanton began his football career at the Australian Institute of Sport before signing with Sydney Croatia in the National Soccer League. He remained there until the close of the 1994–95 season before signing with Marconi-Fairfield.
