2023–24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
The 2023–24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the sixteenth edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India. Played from 16 October to 6 November 2023, it was contested by all 38 Ranji Trophy teams and won by Punjab, their first title. In the final, they defeated Baroda by 20 runs. All 38 senior state teams were divided into five groups, with eight teams in three groups, and seven teams in two groups. Hyderabad Cricket Team
The Hyderabad cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, run by the Hyderabad Cricket Association. It is part of the Ranji Trophy Plate Group and has seen scattered success over its many years in the Ranji Trophy circuit. It has won Ranji Trophy twice and been runners-up thrice and have made one appearance in the Irani Trophy. Goa Cricket Team
The Goa cricket team is first-class cricket team based in Goa, India, has competed in the Ranji Trophy since the 1985–86 season. Playing history Goa lost all five matches in their first season, and did not win until 1996–97, in their 56th match, when they defeated Karnataka by an innings. Goa's best ever performance came in the 2013–14 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where they finished 3rd. They missed out on the finals due to Net Run Rate. Goa fell short by roughly two balls. Saurashtra Cricket Team
Saurashtra cricket team is one of the three first-class cricket teams based in the Indian state of Gujarat (the others being Baroda and Gujarat) that compete in India's first-class tournament Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Competition history Previous teams competing from Saurashtra were Nawanagar and Western India. Nawanagar won the Ranji Trophy in 1936–37 and were runners up in 1937–38. Gujarat Cricket Team
The Gujarat cricket team is one of three first-class cricket teams based on the state of Gujarat (the other two being the Baroda cricket team and Saurashtra cricket team). Led by Parthiv Patel, Gujarat won their maiden Ranji Trophy title in the 2016–17 season, beating Mumbai in the final at Indore. The Sikkim cricket team is a cricket team that represents the state of Sikkim in Indian domestic competitions. In July 2018, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the team as one of the nine new sides that would compete in domestic tournaments for the 2018–19 season, including the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, prior to the start of the tournament, the team did not have a ground to play first-class cricket on. Unlike some of the other new teams, Sikkim decided to enter their first List A competition with a team made up entirely of home-grown players. The Bihar cricket team represents the state of Bihar in Indian domestic cricket competitions. It is run by Bihar Cricket Association. History 1936 to 2004 The team competed in the Ranji Trophy from 1936–37 until 2003–04. Chandigarh cricket team represents the Chandigarh, Union Territory of Chandigarh in Indian domestic cricket competitions. The Odisha cricket team (known as Orissa until 2011) is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Odisha. It is in the elite group of the Ranji Trophy. Services Cricket Team
The Services cricket team plays in the Ranji Trophy, the main domestic first-class cricket competition in India. The Himachal Pradesh cricket team is an Indian cricket team based in Himachal Pradesh. It has competed in the Ranji Trophy since the 1985–86 season.
