2023–24 Serie A De México Season
The 2023–24 Serie A de México season is part of the third-tier football league of Mexico. The tournament began on 11 August 2023 and finished on 25 May 2024. Offseason Changes * The 2022–23 Serie A champions Tampico Madero and runners-up Tuzos UAZ were not certified for promotion to the Liga de Expansión MX, they will remain on Serie A. *On May 7, 2023 Alebrijes UABJO was promoted to Serie A. On June 15, 2023 the team was relocated to Reynosa and renamed C.F. Orgullo Reynosa. *On May 21, 2023 Aguacateros de Peribán F.C. and Atlético Aragón were promoted to Serie A from Liga TDP. *On May 22, 2023 Catedráticos Elite F.C. was renamed Petroleros de Salamanca. *On May 25, 2023 Escorpiones F.C. was relocated to Zacatepec and the team was renamed to Escorpiones Zacatepec. *On June 1, 2023 Club Calor was promoted to Serie A from Serie B. *On June 7, 2023 Leviatán F.C. was suspended from the 2023–24 season for failing to fulfill the obligations as an affiliate. *On June ...

Serie A De México
The Serie A has 38 teams (5 Liga de Expansión MX Reserve Teams and 33 Serie A Teams) divided into three groups. For the 2024–25 season, it will be a return of a short tournament format (Apertura & Clausura) consisting of 11 group matches and 3 inter-group matches (14 total) played home & away and the liguilla. The top two teams from each group and the two best third places at the end of the season will play in the Liguilla for a spot to play for promotion to Liga de Expansión MX provided that their stadiums meet the requirements to ascend. The Serie A was created in the second half of 2008, with the participation and approval of the owners of the teams of the Second and Third Division, being next to Serie B part of the Liga Premier. As of the 2024–25 Season, Atlético Morelia, Celaya, Correcaminos UAT, Mineros de Zacatecas and U. de G. all from Liga de Expansión MX will join the Liga Premier to give young players professional experience. Tuzos UAZ
The Tuzos de la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, commonly known as Tuzos UAZ, or just UAZ, is a Mexican football club based in Zacatecas City. The club was founded in 1990, and currently plays in the Serie A of Liga Premier. History The team was established in 1990 having intermittent appearances in the Second and Third Division leagues of Mexico. In 2009 the team was refounded and registered in the Liga de Nuevos Talentos, currently Serie B de México, in the 2009–10 season the team was based in Fresnillo, and remained in the league until 2013. In 2013 the team was promoted to the Liga Premier de Ascenso, current Serie A de México, because UAZ bought the Real Saltillo Soccer franchise. In 2017 the team was returned to Serie B de México because it did not meet the requirements to participate in Serie A. Coras Fútbol Club commonly known as Coras de Tepic is a football club that plays in the Mexican football league system Mexican Liga Premier (third-tier). The club was founded in the late 1950s as Deportivo Tepic and is based in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. History The club was founded on July 19, 1959 by Francisco Mengibar Bueno and quickly joined the Segunda División de México. The club played mostly in the Mexican inferior division from 1960 to the 1980s. In 1986 the club was invited to play the Copa de Oro de Occidente with first and second division clubs based in the mid-western region of the country. The Club de Fútbol Calor, commonly known as Calor, is a Mexican football (soccer), football club based in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. The club was founded in 2001, and currently plays in the Liga Premier de México. Petroleros De Salamanca
Petroleros de Salamanca C.F.C. is a Mexican football club based in Salamanca, Guanajuato, México which is playing in the Liga Premier de México. History The club was founded in the 1950s and soon after, in 1958, the club joined the Segunda División de México and played under the name of Mapaches. The club played in the second division until 1961 when the club folded due to economic problems. In 1964 the club rejoined the second division; this time the club was owned by a local oil company which brought in big name players but never achieved a promotion to the first division.
