2023–24 Saudi First Division League
The 2023–24 First Division League (known as the Yelo Saudi Arabia, Yelo League for sponsorship reasons) was the third season of the Saudi First Division League after its rebrand, and the 47th season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season started on 14 August 2023 and concluded on 28 May 2024. On 6 May, Al Qadsiah FC, Al-Qadsiah became the first team to be promoted following a 2–2 draw with Ohod Club, Ohod. They were crowned champions following a 4–2 win against Al-Najma SC (Saudi Arabia), Al-Najma on 13 May. On 21 May, Al-Kholood Club, Al-Kholood and Al-Orobah FC, Al-Orobah became the final two clubs to be promoted following wins over Al Safa FC, Al-Safa and Al-Jabalain FC, Al-Jabalain respectively. On 30 April, Al-Taraji Club, Al-Taraji became the first team to be relegated after a 4–1 defeat away to Al-Kholood Club, Al-Kholood. The Saudi First Division League (), currently known as the Yelo League for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia. It ranks below the Saudi Pro League and above the Saudi Second Division League in the Saudi Arabian football league system. Al-Faisaly KSA FC () is a Saudi Arabian football club based in Harmah., the club currently competes in the Saudi First Division League, the second tier of Saudi football.. History The club is named after King Faisal (r. 1964–75), who was crown prince at the time of the club's founding. Al Faisaly finished as the runner-up in the 2005–06 first division season, thus becoming the first club from the Sudair region to achieve promotion to the top flight but went straight back down after just one season. Najran Sport Club () is a Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Najran Province, that competes in the Saudi Second Division League. Overview Najran SC achieved promotion to the Saudi Premier League by finishing 2nd in the Saudi First Division during the 2006–07 season. The beginning Najran Club is a new club compared to other Saudi clubs. The idea of establishing the club was first born in 1980 when a group of Najranis raised a request to the Youth Welfare office expressing their desire in establishing a club that carried the name of their city. Riyadh F.C. or Al-Riyadh () is a professional football club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It currently plays in the Saudi Pro League (the first tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia).
