The 2023–24 season was Royale Union Saint-Gilloise's 126th season in existence and third consecutive in the Belgian Pro League. Royale Union Saint-Gilloise (), also known as Union Saint-Gilloise, Union SG or simply Union, is a Belgian professional Football club (association football), football club from Brussels based in Forest, Belgium, Forest. Founded in 1897 in the neighbouring Saint-Gilles, Belgium, Saint-Gilles, the club has played its home matches at the historic Joseph Marien Stadium since the 1920s. One of the most successful clubs in Belgian football history, Union won eleven Belgian Pro League, national titles between 1904 and 1935, dominating the domestic game before World War II. Alessio Daniel Castro-Montes (born 17 May 1997) is a Belgian professional Association football, footballer who plays for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Union SG. Casper Mikael Terho (born 24 June 2003) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Belgian Pro League club OH Leuven and the Finland national team. Heinz Lindner (; born 17 July 1990) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Swiss Super League club Sion and the Austria national team.
