2023–24 Roda JC Kerkrade Season
The 2023–24 season was Roda JC Kerkrade's 62nd season in existence and their sixth consecutive season in the second tier of Dutch football. In addition to the Eerste Divisie, they participated in the KNVB Cup. The club was managed by Bas Sibum, who was appointed on 9 May 2023, replacing Edwin de Graaf. Sibum, a former Roda JC player, was tasked with improving the team's performance following a 15th-place finish in the 2022–23 season. Under Sibum's management, Roda JC displayed consistent form throughout the season, finishing in third place with 75 points from 38 matches, including 21 wins, 12 draws, and 5 losses. This marked a significant improvement from the previous campaign and positioned the team as contenders for promotion to the Eredivisie. Sportvereniging Roda Juliana Combinatie Kerkrade (; ), shortly as Roda JC Kerkrade () or commonly Roda JC or simply Roda, is a Dutch professional association football, football club based in Kerkrade, Netherlands. Roda JC Kerkrade plays in the Eerste Divisie. The club was founded by a merger between Rapid JC and Roda Sport in 1962. They were placed in the Eerste Divisie, and after a relegation they were promoted back to the top division in 1973–74 Eredivisie, 1973, where they would stay for 41 years until being relegated in 2013–14 Eredivisie, 2014. NAC Breda
NAC Breda (), often simply known as NAC, is a Dutch professional football club, based in Breda, Netherlands. NAC Breda play in the Rat Verlegh Stadium, named after their most important player, Antoon 'Rat' Verlegh. They play in the Eredivisie, after winning play-offs for promotion in 2024. Lennerd Daneels (born 10 April 1998) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a winger for club Helmond Sport. Club career Early career Daneels played in the youth department of Germinal Beerchot until he was scouted to the academy of PSV in 2010. There, he progressed through the various youth teams. He made his Eerste Divisie debut for Jong PSV on 25 August 2017 in a 2–1 win against Helmond Sport as an 80th minute substitute for Joey Konings. Nils Röseler (born 10 February 1992) is a German professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. He most recently played for Eerste Divisie club Roda JC. Club career Twente Röseler started playing football for hometown club SV Bad Bentheim. He was later scouted by Dutch club Twente and joined their youth academy. Václav Sejk
Václav Sejk (born 18 May 2002) is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a forward for Primeira Liga club Famalicão on loan from Sparta Prague. Club career Sejk started his career with local sides TJ Spartak Boletice n.L. and FK Junior Děčín before joining Teplice in 2015. After moving to Sparta Prague in 2017, he progressed through the youth ranks and 'B' team, before being loaned back to Teplice in 2022. Maximilian Schmid (born 5 March 2003) is a German professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Erzgebirge Aue. Club career Schmid progressed through the FSV Frankfurt and Mainz 05 academies, before moving to the youth department of 1. FC Köln in 2018.
