2023–24 CCHL Season
The 2023–24 CCHL season was the 63rd season of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). The Navan Grads won the league championship Bogart Cup for the first time in the franchise's 28-year history and went on to compete at the 2024 Centennial Cup national championship tournament in Oakville, Ontario. Season highlights League commissioner Kevin Abrams resigned at the end of the 2022–23 CCHL season after serving for 17 years in the role. Sean Marcellus, who was appointed as interim commissioner in June 2023, resigned in April 2024 and took up the position of director of hockey operations for the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League. The team's goaltender, Jaeden Nelson, received the league's top rookie, top prospect and top goaltender awards. Central Canada Hockey League
The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL; French: ''Ligue de hockey du Canada centrale'', LHCC) is a Junior A ice hockey league in North America composed of 12 teams – all around the National Capital Region. The CCHL is one of the nine Junior A leagues across Canada and is considered as the most successful and highest level of Junior A hockey compared to all the other eight leagues across the country. The Bogart Cup, the oldest junior ice hockey sports trophy in Canada, is awarded annually to the league playoff champion at the end of each season. Navan Memorial Centre
Navan ( ; , meaning "the Cave") is the county town and largest town of County Meath, Ireland. It is at the confluence of the River Boyne and Blackwater, around 50 km northwest of Dublin. Calgary Canucks
The Calgary Canucks are a junior ice hockey#Junior A, junior A ice hockey team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). They play in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with home games at the Max Bell Centre (Calgary), Ken Bracko Arena. They have won the AJHL championship 11 times and two national championship. Canadian Junior Hockey League
The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) is an association of Canadian junior ice hockey#Junior A, junior A ice hockey leagues and teams and was formed in November 1993, emerging from the Canada West Association of Junior 'A' Hockey. The champion of the Canadian Junior Hockey League wins the Centennial Cup. The CJHL spans the majority of Canada, from the Canadian Prairies, Prairies to the Atlantic Coast. The only regional organizations of Hockey Canada to currently not have member teams or a league are BC Hockey, Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador (Hockey NL), and Hockey North. Melfort Mustangs
The Melfort Mustangs are a junior "A" ice hockey team based in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada. They are members of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). They play their home games at the Northern Lights Palace, which has a seating capacity of 1,850. The team colors are blue, green, and white. The Mustangs joined the SJHL for the 1988–89 season. Collingwood Blues (2020–)
The Collingwood Blues are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) based in Collingwood, Ontario, and the 2024 Centennial Cup national championship team. History The team came into being with sale and relocation of the Kingston Voyageurs to Collingwood after the 2018–19 OJHL season. The Kingston Voyageurs had been a league staple since 1974. After the 2019–20 OJHL season, the team was rebranded the Collingwood Blues. The 2020–21 OJHL season was cancelled due to public health restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Oakville Blades
The Oakville Blades are a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Oakville, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. History The Blades started as a Junior C team, and made it to the Clarence Schmalz Cup Final once to compete for the All-Ontario Junior "C" title. In 1969, the Blades lost 4-games-to-3 to the Woodstock Navy-Vets. Oakville moved up to the Junior B level for the 1970-71 season, and joined the Mid-Ontario Junior B league. In 1971, the leagues realigned, and Oakville moved to the new Central Junior B league. In 1975 and 1991 the Blades made it the Sutherland Cup Final for the All-Ontario Junior "B" title.
