2023 World Table Tennis Championships
The 2023 World Table Tennis Championships was the 57th edition of World Table Tennis Championships and held in Durban, South Africa. It was the first such event set to be held in Africa since 1939 Championship held in Egypt. Bid South Africa was chosen as host after defeating Düsseldorf, Germany by 90 to 39 votes. Durban International Convention Centre
The Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre Complex, often abbreviated as ICC Durban, is a large events facility located in the city centre of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is named after 1960 Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former president of the African National Congress, Inkosi Albert Luthuli. Shin Yu-bin (; born 5 July 2004) is a South Korean table tennis player. Her father, a former table tennis player, operated a table tennis club, and she naturally started playing the sport around the age of four or five. She showed early promise and was regarded as a table tennis prodigy during her elementary school years, joining the national reserve team. Dimitrij Ovtcharov
Dimitrij Ovtcharov () or Dmytro Ovtcharov (; born 2 September 1988) is a Ukrainian-born German table tennis player. His father Mikhail (or Mikhaylo), a Soviet table tennis champion in 1982, moved his family to Germany shortly after Dimitrij was born. Since 2008, Ovtcharov has won a total of two silver and four bronze medals at the Olympics, making him second most decorated male Olympian in the table tennis category in terms of the number of medals awarded. Cho Dae-seong (, born 13 October 2002) is a South Korean table tennis player. As a left-handed player, Cho has won several doubles titles on ITTF and WTT tournaments since 2019.
