2023 World Series Of Darts
The 2023 World Series of Darts was a series of televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. Six World Series events and one finals event, which like the previous year took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, were held. Two new venues made there debuts with Bahrain International Circuit hosting the Bahrain Masters and the Arena COS Torwar hosting the Poland Masters for the first time. Professional Darts Corporation
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). Sports promoter Eddie Hearn is the PDC chairman. The PDC developed and holds several championship competitions, including the annual PDC World Darts Championship, the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, UK Open, Premier League, and Grand Slam. AFAS Live (formerly known as the Heineken Music Hall) is a concert hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands, near the Johan Cruyff Arena. Wollongong Entertainment Centre
Wollongong Entertainment Centre (also known by its naming rights sponsor WIN Entertainment Centre and colloquially as the WEC) is a multi-purpose indoor arena, located in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. The WEC opened on 5 September 1998 with a concert by Bob Dylan and Patti Smith; 4,935 people attended the event. Dylan performed at the venue again in 2011, performing to a crowd of 3,214 people, and again in 2018. The 2023 PalmerBet New South Wales Darts Masters was the second staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation, and the sixth entry in the 2023 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players (eight PDC players and eight regional qualifiers) and was held at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong, Australia on 11–12 August 2023. Rob Cross won his second World Series title in as many weeks, and his third in all, defeating Damon Heta 8–1 in the final. Globox Arena
Globox Arena (formerly Claudelands Arena) is a multi-purpose indoor sports and entertainment arena located in Hamilton, New Zealand. Globox Arena is part of Claudelands Events Centre which contains a 6000-capacity arena and four-star conference and exhibition centre.
