2023 Unitary Platform Presidential Primaries
The 2023 Unitary Platform presidential primaries were primary elections held on 22 October 2023, to choose the Venezuelan opposition, opposition candidate of the Unitary Platform coalition in the Next Venezuelan presidential election, elections of the following year for the presidency of Venezuela. The first official announcement of the primaries was made on 16 May 2022 by the coalition, setting 2023 as the year in which such elections would be held. They were held in Venezuela, as well as in 29 countries and 77 cities abroad. The primaries were independently organized by the National Primary Commission, without the assistance of the National Electoral Council (Venezuela), National Electoral Council and with the use of manual voting. Henrique Capriles
Henrique Capriles Radonski (; born 11 July 1972) is a Venezuelan politician and lawyer, who served as the 36th Governor of Miranda from 2008 to 2017. Born in Caracas, he received a degree in law from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, and later in tax law from the Central University of Venezuela. He first ventured into politics at age 26, when he became the youngest member ever elected to the Venezuelan parliament. Popular Will ( es, Voluntad Popular, abbr. VP) is a political party in Venezuela founded by former Mayor of Chacao, Leopoldo López, who is its national co-ordinator. The party describes itself as progressive and social-democratic and was admitted into the Socialist International in December 2014, although observers have also described it as centre to centre-left. Freddy Superlano
Freddy Superlano Salinas (born 25 June 1976) is a Venezuelan politician, educator and engineer currently serving as a deputy for the Popular Will party in the National Assembly. He is an outspoken critic of Nicolás Maduro and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV). Andrés Bello Catholic University also known in Spanish as Universidad Católica Andrés Bello is a private university in Venezuela. The Supreme Justice Tribunal ( es, Tribunal Supremo de Justicia or TSJ) is the highest court of law in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and is the head of the judicial branch.
