2023 Taipei Open
The 2023 Taipei Open (officially known as the Yonex Taipei Open 2023) was a badminton tournament which took place at Tian-mu Arena, University of Taipei in Taipei, Taiwan, from 20 to 25 June 2023 and had a total purse of $210,000. Tournament The 2023 Taipei Open was the fifteenth tournament of the 2023 BWF World Tour and also part of the Taipei Open championships, which had been held since 1980. This tournament was organized by the Chinese Taipei Badminton Association with sanction from the BWF. Venue This international tournament was held at Tian-mu Arena, University of Taipei in Taipei, Taiwan. BWF World Tour
The BWF World Tour is a Badminton World Federation#Grade 2, Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles (men's and women's) and doubles (men's, women's and mixed). The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018 BWF World Tour schedule, 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017. The BWF World Tour are divided into six levels, namely World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, and Super 300 in order (part of the HSBC World Tour). One other category of tournament, the BWF Tour Super 100 level, also offers ranking points. S. Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian (born 13 January 2004) is an Indian badminton player. He is a former world junior number 1 in the boys' singles. At the age of 17, he reached the finals of the senior tournament the 2021 Uganda International. Subramanian won the silver medal at the 2022 World Junior Championships. Parupalli Kashyap
Parupalli Kashyap (born 8 September 1986) is an Indian badminton player. A former World No.6, he trains at Gopichand Badminton Academy. He was awarded the Arjuna Award by the Government of India in 2012. He created history by reaching the quarter-finals of men's singles at the 2012 London Olympics, being the first male player from India to do so. At the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, he won the gold medal in men's singles. Kashyap was the Icon Player for the Indian Badminton League team, Banga Beats in the 2013 edition. Su Li-yang (; born 27 December 2001) is a Taiwanese badminton player. Career Su Li-yang's father Su Chih-ming was also a badminton player. Su Li-yang started to playing badminton when he was in the first grade of elementary school. Educated at the Datong High School, he had shown his potential as a excellent badminton player at several national and international tournaments. He also later studied at the University of Taipei. Angus Ng Ka-long (born 24 June 1994) is a badminton player from Hong Kong. He has a career-high ranking of 6th in the men's singles discipline.
