2023 T1 League All-Star Game
The 2023 T1 League All-Star Game was an exhibition game played on February 28, 2023, during the T1 League's 2022–23 season. It was the 1st edition of the T1 League All-Star Game, and was played at Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium. Team Infinity defeated Team Beyond 179–124. Dwight Howard, who scored 37 points, was named the All-Star Game MVP. All-Star Game Coaches Following the conclusion of the regular season on February 5, 2023, the head coaches were decided. The head coaches of the first and second place in 2022–23 season were qualified as the head coaches of the All-Star Game. The All-Star Game head coaches were announced on February 6. Lee Yi-Hua, head coach of the New Taipei CTBC DEA, qualified as the head coach of the Team Beyond. Brendan Joyce, head coach of the Kaohsiung Aquas, qualified as the head coach of the Team Infinity. The Tainan TSG GhostHawks ( zh, 臺南台鋼獵鷹) are a Taiwanese professional basketball team based in Tainan City, Taiwan. They have competed in the T1 League since the 2021–22 season, and play their home games at the Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science Shao Tsung Gymnasium. Michael Efevberha
Michael James Efevberha (born August 22, 1984) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player for Taoyuan Leopards of the T1 League. He played college basketball for the University of California, Irvine and California State University, Northridge. He has also represented the Nigeria national basketball team, serving as team captain in 2009 at the 2009 FIBA Africa Championship where he averaged 17.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. In 2009, Efevberha was named New Zealand NBL Most Outstanding Guard and earned the league's scoring title with 27.8 points per game. He scored over 30 points in a game eight times and reached over the 40-point mark on two occasions. He led the Wellington Saints to the semi-finals, where they were defeated by the Nelson Giants. Robert Upshaw
Robert Ridjell Upshaw (born January 5, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Tainan TSG GhostHawks of the T1 League. He played college basketball for Fresno State and the University of Washington. College career Upshaw played high school basketball for San Joaquin Memorial High School in his hometown of Fresno, California. A top 100 recruit, he originally committed to play college basketball for Kansas State University, but was released from his commitment when Wildcats head coach Frank Martin left for another job. He then chose local Fresno State, where as a freshman in the 2012–13 season he averaged 4.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. Jason Alexander Brickman (born November 19, 1991) is a Filipino-American basketball player for the Kaohsiung Aquas of the T1 League. He completed his college career for the Long Island University Blackbirds after the 2013–14 season. Brickman was considered one of the best passers in the nation according to ESPN analyst Jay Bilas. Of Brickman, Bilas said "He really understands angles very well. He gets the ball to (LIU's) best players, and he does a really nice job of managing the game. An excellent passer."
