2023 Star Awards
The Star Awards 2023 ceremony, the 28th edition of Star Awards, presented by the Mediacorp, took place on 9 April 2023 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. During the gala, Mediacorp presented Star Awards in 12 categories honoring Mediacorp's employees, minor awards in four categories and sponsored awards in two categories. The ceremony was televised on Channel 8. Lee Teng and Taiwanese actress-singer Matilda Tao, hosted the show. Mediacorp also hosted a gala dinner, held at JW Marriott Hotel on 30 March 2023 and hosted by Hazelle Teo and Dennis Chew. Five Star Awards were also presented during the dinner. ''Your World in Mine'' won six awards, including Best Drama Serial. ''The Breakfast Quartet - LOVE 972'', ''Dishing with Chris Lee'', ''Forgotten Children'', ''Star Awards 2022'' and ''Mr Zhou's Ghost Stories @ Singapore Sightings'' won one award each. Ayden Sng
Ayden Sng Zheng (born 17 November 1993) is a Singaporean actor, host and musician, best known for starring in the television series ''Loving You'', ''Truths About Us'', ''The Unbreakable Bond'' and '' All That Glitters''. Richie Koh
Richie Koh (born 16 June 1993) is a Singaporean actor who is signed to MediaCorp. The Star Awards for Best Drama Serial is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, established in 1994. Lee Teng (born 30 May 1982) is a Taiwan-born Singaporean television host, businessman, radio deejay and occasional actor. Lee won the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award and the Best Programme Host twice at the Star Awards. In 2017, he won an Asian Television Awards for Best Current Affairs Presenter. Early life Lee was born in Taiwan and went to Singapore when he was nine. He studied primary school in Singapore. He graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a degree in accountancy. Channel 8 ( zh, 8頻道) is a Singaporean Mandarin-language free-to-air terrestrial television channel in Singapore, owned by state media conglomerate Mediacorp. The channel broadcasts general entertainment and news programming in the Mandarin language, including original and imported programming. The channel began a series of experimental broadcasts on 31 August 1963, and officially launched on 22 November 1963. As with its sister Channel 5, the channel would initially air programming in all four of Singapore's official languages, although having a particular focus on the Chinese and Tamil communities.
