2023 SMART Modified Tour
The 2023 SMART Modified Tour was the 19th season of the SMART Modified Tour. It began with the Low Country 99 at Florence Motor Speedway on March 4. It ended with the Rumble at Rougemont at Orange County Speedway on October 28. Burt Myers won his third championship in the series, 54 points ahead of series runner up Brandon Ward. SMART Modified Tour
The Southern Modified Auto Racing Teams (SMART) Tour is a Modified stock car racing series racing in the Southeastern region of The United States. The series began in 1989, NASCAR took over the series in 2005. During its time as a NASCAR sanctioned series it followed identical regulations to the Northern NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. The series merged with the Northern Modified Tour in 2017 bringing an end to the series after almost 30 years. The series came back in late 2020 without NASCAR sanction under the SMART Tour name and ran its first full season since 2004 in 2021 with the likes of Bobby Labonte and Ryan Preece competing. Altamahaw is a census-designated place (CDP) in Alamance County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Burlington, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. Spencer Scott Davis (born November 29, 1998) is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner, who currently competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series West, driving the No. 42 Chevrolet SS for Cook Racing Technologies and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series East, driving the No. 63 Chevrolet SS for Spraker Racing Enterprises. Brian Loftin (born July 29, 1977) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competed in the now defunct NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour from 2005 to 2014. He is the father of Carson Loftin, who currently competes part-time in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Loftin is a former champion of the Southern Modified Tour, having won the championship in 2008, where he won Three races and eleven pole positions. In a motorsports race, the pole position is usually the best and "statistically the most advantageous" starting position on the track. The pole position is usually earned by the driver with the best qualifying times in the trials before the race, although penalties may award it to the second fastest driver, as the pole position is statistically awarded to the driver starting in first position. The number-one qualifying driver is also referred to as the pole-sitter. The pole position starts the race "at the front of the starting grid. Rougemont, North Carolina
Rougemont is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Durham and Person counties, North Carolina, United States. The population of the CDP was 978 at the 2010 census. An act to incorporate Rougemont as a town was introduced to the North Carolina General Assembly in 2011, resulting in a referendum where the incorporation was rejected by a margin of 10 votes. Geography Rougemont is located in northern Durham County along U.S. Route 501. The center of town is north of the center of Durham and south of Roxboro. The CDP extends north into Person County as far as the Flat River, east to Moores Mill Road, south to Quail Roost Farm Road, and west to Harris Road and Chambers Road. Hudson, North Carolina
Hudson is a town in Caldwell County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,776 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hickory– Lenoir– Morganton Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Hudson originated as a sawmill camp, with timber being the initial attraction to the area. Among early settlers to Hudson, were the Hudson brothers, Monroe and Johnny. The name Hudson was selected honoring these two brothers as the name of the community. "Hudsonville" would come into being in 1880, with the "ville" being dropped in 1889 due to mail confusion with Hendersonville. In 1905, Hudson was incorporated as a town. In 1904, businessman B.B.
