The 2023 season was the 16th season for the IPL cricket franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. They were one of the ten teams to compete in the 2023 Indian Premier League. The team was captained by Faf du Plessis, and coached by Sanjay Bangar. Virat Kohli captained the team in three games when Faf Du Plessis was ruled out due to injury. 2023 Indian Premier League
The 2023 Indian Premier League (also known as Tata IPL 2023 for sponsorship reasons and sometimes referred to as IPL 2023 or IPL 16) was the 16th season of the Indian Premier League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league in India. It is organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. In the final, Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans, by five wickets ( DLS method) to win their fifth league title. Background The league returned to its original home-and-away format after a four year hiatus. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the previous three seasons were held at neutral venues. Shahbaz Ahmad (Urdu: شہباز احمد) (born 1 September 1968) is a former field hockey player from Pakistan who is also known by his nickname 'Shahbaz Senior'. He was born to an Arain family. Career He is considered to be among the best forwards in the history of field hockey. He was called up to the Pakistan national hockey team in 1986, and was captain of the national side, that led his team to the 1994 Men's Hockey World Cup victory. Sherfane Eviston Rutherford (born 15 August 1998) is a Guyanese cricketer. He made his Twenty20 International debut for the West Indies against Bangladesh on 22 December 2018 and his One Day International debut in December 2023 against England. Siddarth Kaul (born 19 May 1990), also spelled Siddharth Kaul, is an Indian former professional cricketer. A fast bowler who bowls at about 130 km/h, he made his first-class debut for Punjab in 2007.
