2023 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series
The 2023 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series is an ongoing season of the Red Bull-sponsored international cliff diving series. It is the 15th edition of this event. The series began on 3 June in Boston, United States, with the final event on 28 January 2024 in Auckland, New Zealand. Calendar The 2023 calendar includes six locations, with the final event on 28 January 2024 in Auckland. The Auckland event was originally set to take place in November 2023 but was postponed due to a sewer collapse. Divers The men's and women's series features 8 permanent divers. In addition to the permanent divers, at least four wildcard divers are selected to compete at each stop of the men's and women's series. Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series
The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, established in 2009 and created by Red Bull GmbH, Red Bull, is an annual international series of Diving (sport), cliff diving events in which a limited number of competitors determine the Cliff Diving World Series winner. Divers jump from a platform at a height ranging from 85–92 ft (26 to 28 m) . Competitions are held in a limited number of venues around the globe. History The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series men’s competition started in 2009. The women’s competition began in 2014. The competition season takes place over eight locations around the world. Meili Carpenter (born December 8, 1987) is an American high diver and former 1- and 3-meter diver for the Buffalo Bulls. Early life and education Carpenter is from Boulder, Colorado. She attended the University at Buffalo and studied chemistry and psychology. Career University (2006–10) Carpenter competed for the University at Buffalo's Buffalo Bulls from 2006 to 2010.
