The 2023 Rally Japan (also known as the FORUM8 Rally Japan 2023) was a motorsport, motor racing event for rallying, rally cars held from 16 to 19 November 2023. It marked the eighth running of the Rally Japan, and was the final round of the 2023 World Rally Championship, 2023 World Rally Championship-2, World Rally Championship-2 and 2023 World Rally Championship-3, World Rally Championship-3. The event was based in Nagoya in Chūbu Region and was contested over twenty-two Special stage (rallying), special stages covering a total competitive distance of . Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe were the defending rally winners. Hyundai World Rally Team, Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT, were the defending manufacturers' winners. Grégoire Munster and Louis Louka were the defending rally winners in the WRC-2 category. Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin (co-driver), Scott Martin won their second rally of the season. 2023 World Rally Championship
The 2023 FIA World Rally Championship was the 51st season of the World Rally Championship, an international rallying series organised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and WRC Promoter GmbH. Teams and crews competed for the List of World Rally Championship Drivers' champions, World Rally Championships for Drivers, List of World Rally Championship Co-Drivers' champions, Co-drivers and List of World Rally Championship Manufacturers' champions, Manufacturers. Crews were free to compete in cars complying with Groups Rally, Groups Rally1 to Rally5 regulations; however, only manufacturers competing with Group Rally1, Rally1 cars Homologation (motorsport), homologated were eligible to score points in the manufacturers' championship.
