2023 Prague Open
The 2023 Prague Open (branded as the 2023 Livesport Prague Open for sponsorship reasons) was a professional women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts at the TK Sparta Prague. It was the 14th ( WTA and non-WTA) edition of the tournament and part of the 2023 WTA Tour, classified as a WTA 250 tournament. It took place in Prague, Czech Republic from 31 July to 6 August 2023. Exclusion of Russian & Belarusian players Ahead of the tournament, the Czech police prevented the Russian player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova from entering the country. Russian and Belarusian players were subsequently asked not to travel to Czechia and were forced to withdraw from the tournament. They would have competed as neutrals, without any national flag or symbol, but the Czech government passed a resolution banning all Russian and Belarusian athletes from entering the country due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. WTA 250 Tournaments
WTA 250 is a category of tennis tournaments in the Women's Tennis Association tour, implemented since the reorganization of the schedule in 2021. Earlier these events were classified as WTA International tournaments, WTA International Tournaments. At their introduction in 2021, WTA 250 tournaments' prize money was approximately $250,000. As of 2025 WTA Tour, 2025 season, this has risen to $275,094. The ranking points awarded to the winners of these tournaments are 250. This compares to 2,000 points for winning a Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam tournament ("Major"), up to 1,500 points for winning the WTA Finals, 1000 points for winning a WTA 1000 tournament, and 500 for winning a WTA 500 tournament. Zhu Lin (tennis)
Zhu Lin (; ; born 28 January 1994) is a Chinese tennis player. On 18 September 2023, Zhu reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 31. She attained her best WTA doubles ranking of No. 80 on 2 October 2023. Zhu has won the 2023 Thailand Open in singles and the 2019 Jiangxi Open in doubles. Wang Xinyu (, ; born 26 September 2001) is a Chinese professional tennis player. Wang reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 32 on 9 October 2023, and set a doubles ranking of No. 16 on 20 May 2024.
