2023 Pittsburgh Panthers Baseball Team
The 2023 Pittsburgh Panthers baseball team was a baseball team that represented the University of Pittsburgh in the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Panthers were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the Coastal Division and played their home games at Charles L. Cost Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They were led by fifth-year head coach Mike Bell. The Panthers finished the season 24–31 overall and 10–18 in ACC play to finish in sixth place in the Coastal Division. They were the twelfth overall seed in the ACC Tournament and were placed into a pool with first seed Wake Forest and eighth seed Notre Dame. They defeated Notre Dame, but lost to Wake Forest and did not advance out of pool play. They did not receive an invitation to the NCAA Tournament. Mike Bell (baseball Coach)
Michael John Bell (born October 14, 1972) is an American college baseball coach and former pitcher. Bell is the head coach of the Pittsburgh Panthers baseball team. Amateur career Bell attended Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida. As a member of the baseball team, Bell was a two-time All-Area selection. Upon graduation from Riverview, Bell enrolled at Pasco–Hernando State College. Bell was the first ever baseball signee in the history of Pasco–Hernando State, helping the Bobcats build their field, and hitting the first home run in program history. After graduating from Pasco–Hernando State, Bell accepted a baseball scholarship offer from Florida State University. In 1993, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Bell helped the Seminoles to back-to-back College World Series appearances in 1994 and 1995. Denver is a borough in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The population was 3,794 at the 2020 census, down from 3,861 at the 2010 census. History Denver was founded by in 1735, by Hans Bucher, a Swiss immigrant. It was originally known as ''Bucher's Thal'', or "Bucher Valley", in reference to the adjacent Cocalico Creek. Montoursville Area High School
Montoursville Area High School is a small suburban/rural public high school located at 100 North Arch Street, Montoursville, Pennsylvania. It is the sole high school operated by the Montoursville Area School District. The school serves the borough of Montoursville, plus the townships of Fairfield, Upper Fairfield, Eldred, Gamble, Cascade, and Plunketts Creek. Glen Mills is an unincorporated community in Concord Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States about 27 miles west of Philadelphia. The ZIP code for Glen Mills is 19342.
