2023 PDC Women's Series
The 2023 PDC Women's Series consiste of 24 darts tournaments on the 2023 PDC Pro Tour. The top 8 ranked players, with money earned from the last 8 Women's Series events of 2022, and the first 12 events of 2023, qualified for the 2023 Women's World Matchplay in Blackpool, whilst the top 2 players at the end of event 24, qualified for the 2023 PDC World Darts Championship. With Beau Greaves choosing not to participate, that meant, The top-ranked player (apart from already qualified Greaves) also qualifies for the Grand Slam of Darts. Prize money On 21 November 2022, it was announced that the prize money for the Women's Series will be doubled in 2023, with each event now having a prize fund of £10,000. 2023 PDC Pro Tour
The 2023 PDC Pro Tour is the current series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. There will be thirty Players Championship events and thirteen PDC European Tour events, as well as 24 events for the Challenge and Development Tours, and the Women's Series. Prize money On 21 November 2022, it was announced that the prize money for the Women's Series will be doubled in 2023. The following day, it was announced that the prize money for Challenge/Development Tour events would also increase, with the prize fund going up from £10,000 to £15,000 per event. On 15 February 2023, it was announced that the prize money for the PDC European Tour events was to increase by 25% with prize funds increasing from £140,000 to £175,000 per event. Marshall Arena
The Marshall Arena (formerly known as Arena MK, also Milton Keynes Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, located beside Stadium MK. The multi-use event space is positioned over three floors and anticipates music and sporting events, conferences, exhibitions and parties. History The arena was to be the home of the Milton Keynes Lions professional basketball team. However, the retail developments that would have provided enabling funding were deferred due to lack of financing, leaving the Lions without a home. Vicky Pruim
Vicky Pruim (born 24 February 1974) is a Belgian born Swedish darts player who plays internationally for Sweden, and in competitive darting events around the world. Vicky started her darts career in 1987, successfully defending her Belgium No1 ladies title for 13 years. Vicky moved to Sweden in 2002, where she gained Swedish nationality, and became part of the Swedish Darts Federation national team. Lisa Ashton
Lisa Ashton (born 27 August 1970) is an English professional darts player who currently plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. She is a four-time BDO World Darts Women's Champion and has won over 100 titles in women's darts. In 2020, she became the first woman to win a PDC Tour Card at the PDC Q-School. Career Ashton reached the quarter-finals of the 2007 Women's World Masters, beating 1996 finalist Heike Jenkins (Ernst) in the last 16 before losing to Rilana Erades. Robyn Byrne
Robyn Byrne (born 23 May 1997) is an Irish female professional darts player who currently plays in the World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Her biggest achievement to date was won the Winmau World Masters for girls, won a three gold medals in the WDF Europe Cup Youth and took silver medal in singles competition at the 2018 WDF Europe Cup. Rhian O'Sullivan
Rhian O'Sullivan (née Edwards; 20 January 1981) is a Welsh female professional darts player who plays in events of the World Darts Federation (WDF). Darts career O'Sullivan was a quarter finalist in the 2009 Women's World Masters. She qualified for her first BDO Women's World Championship in 2010. She defeated fellow Welshwoman Julie Gore 2–0 in the quarter-finals, and Karen Lawman 2–0 in the semi-finals. In the final, she was beaten 2–0 by Trina Gulliver. Fallon Sherrock
Fallon Sherrock (born 2 July 1994) is an English professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Born in Milton Keynes, Sherrock reached the final of the 2015 BDO Women's World Darts Championship, where she was runner-up to Lisa Ashton. In 2019, Sherrock became the first female player to win a match, and subsequently, two consecutive matches, at the PDC World Championships, first by beating Ted Evetts 3–2 in the first round, and then Mensur Suljović 3–1 in the second round, before eventually losing 2–4 to Chris Dobey in the third round.
