2023 Multishow Brazilian Music Award
The 2023 Multishow Brazilian Music Awards () (or simply 2023 Multishow Awards) (Portuguese: ''Prêmio Multishow 2023'') was held on 7 November 2023, at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Singer Ludmilla and television presenters Tatá Werneck and Tadeu Schmidt hosted the show. The ceremony was broadcast live on Multishow, TV Globo, and the Globoplay app. This was the first time the awards were broadcast on Globo's open channel. The nominations were announced on 9 October 2023. Iza and Luísa Sonza were the most nominated artists with seven nominations each, followed by Jão and Ludmilla with six each. Farmasi Arena is an indoor arena, indoor multipurpose arena, located in the region of Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is one of the indoor arena with largest capacity in the country, with 15,430 people for sports and up to 18,768 for concerts. The arena is named for the Turkish cosmetics company Farmasi through a naming rights deal closed in 2024. Priorly, the arena was sponsored by the American cosmetics company Jeunesse Global from 2017 to 2023, and British bank HSBC. The arena was completed in July 2007 and was first known as Arena Olímpica do Rio ''(Rio Olympic Arena)'', which it was known as during the 2016 Summer Olympics. From December 2007 to March 2008, plus the months between Jeunesse's deal expiring and Farmasi taking over, it was known as RioArena. João Fernando Gomes Valério (born 31 July 2002) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter who came to national prominence with his debut album ''Eu tenho a senha''. One song from the album, "Meu Pedaço de Pecado", was the most played song among Brazil's Spotify users as of 1 July 2021, and also appeared in Spotify's Top 50 Global chart the same month. Biography Gomes was born in Serrita, Pernambuco, the son of a barber and a farmer. At a young age, he moved to Petrolina with his family, where he sang in the church choir from the age of seven. In 2019, while studying Animal husbandry, animal agriculture at the Federal Institute of Pernambuco, he began to record videos and publish them online, garnering some popularity.
