2023 Monte Carlo Formula 2 Round
The 2023 Monte Carlo FIA Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 25 and 28 May 2023 at the Circuit de Monaco, Monte Carlo, Monaco. It was the fifth round of the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship and was held in support of the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Group A Group B Sprint race Notes * – Roman Staněk received a three-place grid drop for causing a collision with Ralph Boschung. Ultimately, the penalty has not affected his starting grid position for the next race he participated in. * – Juan Manuel Correa originally finished eleventh, but was later given a ten-second time-penalty for causing a collision. Circuit de Monaco is a street circuit laid out on the city streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine around the harbour of the Principality of Monaco. It is commonly, and even officially, referred to as "Monte Carlo" because it is largely inside the Monte Carlo neighbourhood of Monaco. Arthur Leclerc (born 14 October 2000) is a Monégasque racing driver, currently set to race for DAMS in the 2023 Formula 2 Championship. He is the younger brother of Scuderia Ferrari Formula One driver Charles Leclerc, and a member of Ferrari Driver Academy. Roy Nissany ( he, רוי ניסני; born 30 November 1994) is an Israeli racing driver who is set to compete in the Formula 2 Championship with PHM Racing by Charouz. Oliver Bearman (born 8 May 2005) is a British racing driver. He was the 2021 Italian and ADAC Formula 4 champion and is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. He most recently competed for Prema Racing in the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, ending the championship in third place, seven points off winner Victor Martins. Enzo Fittipaldi da Cruz (born 18 July 2001) is a Brazilian-American racing driver, who is set to compete in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Carlin. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport.
