2023 Macau Guia Race
The 2023 Macau Guia Race - Kumho TCR World Tour Event of Macau was sixty-first edition of the Macau Guia Race and the eighth edition under the TCR Regulations held at Guia Circuit in Macau on 16–19 November 2023. The race was contested with TCR touring cars and run in support of the 2023 edition of the Macau Grand Prix. It was part of the TCR World Tour, as the final round, with the top 8 TCR Asia Challenge drivers calculated by points be part of the race. TCR World Tour
The FIA TCR World Tour is an international touring car racing series for TCR cars. It was formed for 2023 to effectively replace the WTCR series, and received FIA status for its second season in 2024. A season consists of several rounds selected from various regional and national TCR series, where a group of full-season drivers and teams compete against local entries, with both able to score points for the TCR World Tour standings. The inaugural 2023 season was composed of nine events selected from a number of TCR series worldwide, and was promoted by former World Touring Car Championship manager Marcello Lotti's WSC Group. Ma Qinghua () (born 25 December 1987) is a Chinese racing driver currently competing in the World Touring Car Cup with Cyan Performance Lynk & Co. Ma became the first Chinese driver to win an FIA World Championship race when he won race two of the 2014 FIA WTCC Race of Russia. He has also previously competed in the World Touring Car Championship, GP2, a few practice sessions in Formula 1, and Formula E. Early life Ma was born on 25 December 1987 in Shanghai. His father, Ma Qiangyun, was the owner of a car repair shop. Thed Björk Bang-Melchior (born 14 December 1980) is a Sweden, Swedish racing driver, and 2017 World Touring Car Championship, World Touring Car Champion. Other notable titles include the 2006 Swedish Touring Car Championship and the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship. He also finished second in 2005 and 2009, and third in the 2008 STCC and the 2012 TTA – Racing Elite League. Benjamin Bargwanna (born 10 April 2001 in Warragul) is a racing driver from Australia. He is the son of Bathurst 1000 winner Jason Bargwanna and grandson to Australian Production Car Champion Harry Bargwanna. John Filippi (born 27 February 1995) is a French auto racing driver who competes in the TCR Europe Touring Car Series for Sébastien Loeb Racing. Racing career Karting Filippi started his karting career in 2007 in the Cadet class. He made his first international appearance in 2009. Paul Poon Tak Chun (born 12 March 1971, traditional Chinese: 潘德俊) is a racing driver from Hong Kong who has won the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship.
