2023 MNL-2
The 2023 Myanmar National League Two, is the 11th season of the MNL-2, the second division league for association football clubs since its founding in 2012. It has been decided to hold the MNL2 league with a total of ten teams. In the league includes the MFF's youth team called Junior Lions and nine other clubs. Summary After the end of 2023 MNL-2, Thitsar Arman became a first time ever champion in their history. And MNL-2 becomes the New champion. 2022 MNL Champion University finished at 2nd place. Thitsar Arman and University will promote to 2024 Myanmar National League. If University does not pass the MNL criteria, Port FC is promoted to 2024 Myanmar National League. MNL-2
The MNL-2 is the second-tier football league of Myanmar. The official name is MNL-2 League. The inaugural season began in 2013. History The MNL-2 was founded in 2013 as part of MFF's effort to extend competitiveness into the nation's football system. The league is played in a league cup format. After two rounds of competition, the top two teams compete each other for the final. The two finalists are promoted to the MNL. The top four finishers from the league also qualify for the MFF Cup. However, this rule does not apply to the two guest teams which are taking part on experimental purposes. For the inaugural season in 2013, nine teams participated. Among them, Best United and Horizon FC were transformed from former Futsal clubs. Mawyawadi FC and Chin United were relegated from the MNL at the end of the 2012 season while Myawady FC were promoted from the Amateur League. Pong Gan FC is a new club, founded in 2014. 2023 Myanmar National League
The 2023 Myanmar National League was the fourteenth season of first-division domestic football in Myanmar. It consisted of twelve teams, as two teams from the 2022 MNL-2 were promoted. Shan United were the defending champions after winning their third consecutive title in the 2022 season. MNL rules It has been decided that the 2023 Myanmar National League will be played from the third week of February to the last week of October. The matches are set to be played at Thuwunna Stadium and Yangon United Sports Complex. In the registration rules it has also been decided that some young players should be in the final registration list for the success of the Myanmar U-23 team in the SEA Games. Myanmar national under-20 football team is the under-20 football team of Myanmar. It was known as the Burma national youth football team before 1989.
