2023 Hamburg Cyclassics
The 2023 BEMER Cyclassics was a road bicycle racing, road cycling one-day race that took place on 20 August 2023 in Germany. It was the 25th edition of EuroEyes Cyclassics and the 28th event of the 2023 UCI World Tour. It was won by Mads Pedersen (cyclist), Mads Pedersen in the sprint. 2023 UCI World Tour
The 2023 UCI World Tour was a series of races that include thirty-five road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2023 in men's road cycling, 2023 cycling season. The tour started with the 2023 Tour Down Under, Tour Down Under on 17 January, and concluded with the 2023 Tour of Guangxi, Tour of Guangxi on 17 October. Arnaud Démare
Arnaud Démare (born 26 August 1991) is a French professional road racing cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Having turned professional in 2012 and specialising as a sprinter, Démare has taken almost 100 wins as a professional, including 10 Grand Tour stage victories – 2 at the Tour de France and 8 at the Giro d'Italia (the most by any French rider) – and he won the points classification in the Giro d'Italia in 2020 and 2022. Marc Hirschi (born 24 August 1998) is a Swiss cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Hirschi is known for his skills as a puncheur and one-day specialist, with wins in the hilly classics Clásica de San Sebastián and La Flèche Wallonne. He is also a Swiss national champion in the road race. Arnaud De Lie (born 16 March 2002) is a Belgian professional cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam , having been promoted from the team at the end of the 2021 season. Career De Lie opened his first professional season in 2022 with the Vuelta a Mallorca races. He finished 71st and 117th in the first two races and won the fourth race Trofeo Playa de Palma in a bunch sprint against Juan Sebastián Molano, his first professional victory. Yves Lampaert (born 10 April 1991) is a Belgian professional road racing cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Lampaert practiced judo from the age of six, earned a Black belt (martial arts), black belt, but at the age of 17 started training in cycling. Laurence Pithie (born 17 July 2002) is a New Zealand professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Pithie attended Christchurch Boys' High School from 2016 to 2020. Career As a 17-year-old Pithie won two gold medals at the UCI Junior World Championships in the Madison and Omnium. EuroEyes Cyclassics
The Hamburg Cyclassics (currently known as the Bemer Cyclassics for sponsorship purposes) is an annual one-day professional and amateur cycling race in and around Hamburg, Germany. Although the route varies, its distance is always around 250 km. The course's most significant difficulty is Waseberg hill in Blankenese, which is addressed three times in the race finale. Until 2016 it was Germany's only event on the UCI World Tour calendar, before the inclusion of Eschborn–Frankfurt – Rund um den Finanzplatz in 2017. The race is organized by IRONMAN Unlimited Events Germany GmbH, which also organizes the annual Velothon Berlin. An important part of the Cyclassics is the ''Jedermannrennen'' ("Everyman's race"), an amateur/cyclosportif event held on the same day and on the same roads as the professional race.
