2023 Georgian Super Cup
The 2023 Georgian Super Cup was the 22nd edition of the Georgian Super Cup, an annual football competition for clubs in the Georgian football league system that were successful in its major competitions in the preceding season. It was the first edition of the tournament to be played under the new format with four teams. During the semi-final stage, both games went to penalties, with FC Dinamo Batumi, Dinamo Batumi defeating FC Torpedo Kutaisi, Torpedo Kutaisi 6–5, and FC Dinamo Tbilisi, Dinamo Tbilisi defeating FC Dila Gori, Dila Gori 4–2. Both the final and the third place playoff also went to penalties, with Dinamo Tbilisi winning 4–3 against Dinamo Batumi in the final and Torpedo Kutaisi defeating Dila Gori 5–4 in the third place playoff. FC Dinamo Tbilisi ( ka, დინამო თბილისი, ) is a Georgian professional football club based in Tbilisi that competes in the Erovnuli Liga, the top flight of Georgian football. Dinamo Tbilisi was one of the most prominent clubs in Soviet football and a major contender in the Soviet Top League almost immediately after it was established in 1936. The club was then part of one of the leading sport societies in the Soviet Union, the All-Union Dynamo sports society which had several other divisions besides football and was sponsored by the Soviet Ministry of Internal Affairs. Its main claim to European fame was winning the Cup Winners' Cup in 1981, beating FC Carl Zeiss Jena of East Germany 2–1 in the final in Düsseldorf. Irakli Bidzinashvili ( ka, ირაკლი ბიძინაშვილი; born 27 February 1997) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Erovnuli Liga club Torpedo Kutaisi. Mamuka Kobakhidze
Mamuka Kobakhidze ( ka, მამუკა კობახიძე; born 23 August 1992) is a Georgian professional football player. Being a member of Dinamo Batumi since 2019, he captains the team. Kobakhidze has played for national youth teams and secured Georgian champion's title three times, also won the national Cup and Super Cup. Club career Kobakhidze started his career at Zestaponi. Irakli Bugridze
Irakli Bugridze ( ka, ირაკლი ბუღრიძე, tr; born 3 January 1998) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as winger for Erovnuli Liga club Dila Gori. He has won the national league and cup competitions. Career Bugridze started his both youth and senior careers at Locomotive Tbilisi. Due to lack of playing time, in 2018 he moved to Chikhura. Giorgi Arabidze ( ka, გიორგი არაბიძე; born 4 March 1998) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a winger for K League 1 club Ulsan HD. Merab Gigauri ( ka, მერაბ გიგაური; born 5 June 1993) is a Georgian professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Hong Kong Premier League club Lee Man. Mate Vatsadze ( Georgian: მათე ვაწაძე, Maté Vats'adze, born 17 December 1988) is a Georgian football player who plays for Erovnuli Liga club Dinamo Tbilisi as a forward.
