2023 GT World Challenge America
The 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by Amazon Web Services, AWS was the seventeenth season of the United States Auto Club's GT World Challenge America, and the sixth under ownership of Stephane Ratel Organisation, SRO Motorsports Group. The season began at Sonoma Raceway, Sonoma on March 30, and ended at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis on October 8. Eric Filgueiras and Stevan McAleer won the Pro class championship for Rennsport One (RS1) in the new Porsche 911 GT3, Porsche 911 GT3 R, one year after they won the 2022 GT4 America Series Silver class title. Michael Cooper (born September 1, 1989 in New York, New York) is an American-born race car driver who currently competes in the Pirelli World Challenge. He resides in Huntington, New York, and also has a business management degree from at NYIT (New York Institute of Technology), and a nutrition degree from Long Island University. The Flying Lizard Motorsports group is a motorsport team from Sonoma, California, formed by Seth Neiman in early 2003. Robb Holland (born November 18, 1967 in Denver, Colorado) is an American auto racing, racecar driver who has competed in several international racing series. Most notably the British Touring Car Championship where in 2014, Holland became the first American driver in history to compete full-time in the series driving Rotek Racing's Audi S3.
