The 2023 Frisco Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 19, 2023, at Toyota Stadium located in Frisco, Texas. The sixth annual Frisco Bowl featured the UTSA Roadrunners from the American Athletic Conference and the Marshall Thundering Herd from the Sun Belt Conference. The 2021 Frisco Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 21, 2021, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. EST (6:30 p.m. local CST) on ESPN. It was the 4th edition of the Frisco Bowl (after the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and was one of the 2021–22 bowl games concluding the 2021 FBS football season. Turf Toe
A metatarsophalangeal joint sprain is an injury to the connective tissue between the foot and a toe (at a metatarsophalangeal joint, one of the joints in the ball of the foot). When the big toe is involved, it is known as "turf toe". Causes Turf toe is named from the injury being associated with playing sports on rigid surfaces such as artificial turf and is a fairly common injury among professional American football players. Often, the injury occurs when someone or something falls on the back of the calf while that leg's knee and tips of the toes are touching the ground. The toe is hyperextended and thus the joint is injured. Additionally, athletic shoes with very flexible soles combined with cleats that "grab" the turf will cause overextension of the big toe. Frank Harris (born March 27, 1999) is a former American football quarterback who played seven seasons for the UTSA Roadrunners. College career As a true freshman in 2017, Harris redshirted and did not play. In 2018, Harris missed the season due to knee injuries. As a redshirt-sophomore in 2019, Harris started four games before separating his shoulder and missing the rest of the year. During his redshirt- junior year, Harris started 11 games, completing 159-of-250 passes for 1,630 yards and 12 touchdowns, along with six interceptions. He additionally ran for 528 yards and scored nine touchdowns. He led them to a berth in the 2020 First Responder Bowl, where they lost to Louisiana 31–24. 2022 UTSA Roadrunners Football Team
The 2022 UTSA Roadrunners football team represented the University of Texas at San Antonio as a member of Conference USA (C-USA) during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by head coach Jeff Traylor, who was coaching his third season with the team. The Roadrunners played their home games at the Alamodome in San Antonio. During the previous season, on October 21, 2021, UTSA accepted an invitation to join the American Athletic Conference (The American) and will become a full member on July 1, 2023. Early life and high school Fancher grew up in Huber Heights, Ohio and attended Wayne High School where he lettered in football, basketball and track & field.
