The 2023 FAO League is the twelfth season of the FAO League, the top Odia professional football league, since its establishment in 2010. ''Sunrise Club'' and ''Radha Raman Club'' are the joint defending champions. FAO League
The Football Association of Odisha League is the top state football league of the Indian state of Odisha, organised by Football Association of Odisha (FAO) in association with Department of Sports & Youth Services (DSYS), Government of Odisha. History The major domestic league in the state held at Cuttack was known as Cuttack Football League until 2010 when FAO decided to restructure the league as FAO league. It continues as the top tier competition for Cuttack based football clubs. The FAO League was brought up as ''Siddhartha Odisha First Division League'' in 2010 as Odisha's premier level football league. Barabati Stadium
The Barabati Stadium is an Indian sports stadium used mostly for cricket and association football, and also sometimes for concerts and field hockey, located in Cuttack, Odisha. It is a regular venue for international cricket and is the home ground of Odisha cricket team. The stadium is owned and operated by the Odisha Cricket Association. East Coast Railway Zone
The East Coast Railway (abbreviated ECoR) is one of the 19 railway zones of Indian Railways. It came into existence on 1 April 2003. The headquarters of the zone are at Bhubaneswar, Odisha History Consequent upon the parliament's approval, East Coast Railway was the first of the seven new zones to be inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India H. D. Deve Gowda on 8 August 1996. The Officer-on-Special Duty took over charge of the newly declared Zone on 16 September 1996. 2023–24 I-League 3 was the 1st season of the I-League 3 since its establishment in 2023. It was also the 1st season as the national fourth tier of the Indian football league system. The top three teams on the league table qualified for 2023–24 I-League 2. 2023 FAO Super Cup
The 2023 FAO Super Cup will be the third edition of the FAO Super Cup, the main club knockout football competition of Odisha, India. The competition will start on 17 August 2023 and end on 23 August 2023. The entire tournament is scheduled to take place at one venue i.e. the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. The competition features teams from the Diamond, Gold, and Silver competitions of the FAO League, the premier state level football league in Odisha, India. The top four teams from the Diamond League, top three from Silver League, and the winners of the Silver League qualify for the tournament. Sports Odisha is an Indian institutional multisports club based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is owned by Government of Odisha and most of the club's players are selected from the Odisha State Sports Hostel scheme, due to which the team also competes as Odisha Sports Hostel. The men's team competes in the FAO League at the state tier and has qualified for the I-League 3 in the 2023–24 season.
