2023 Doha Diamond League
The 2023 Doha Diamond League was the 25th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Doha, Qatar. Held on 5 May 2023 at the Suheim bin Hamad Stadium, it was the opening day for the 2023 Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. In the sprints, the meeting was highlighted by Sha'Carri Richardson winning her first Diamond League race, arguably the most significant win of her career to that point. Fred Kerley also won the 200 metres coming from behind, cementing his status as the favorite at the World Championships that season. Lamecha Girma, typically a steeplechase specialist, beat a number of non-steeplechasers to win the 3000 metres. 2023 Prefontaine Classic
The 2023 Prefontaine Classic was the 48th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Held on 16-17 September at Hayward Field, it served as the finals of 2023 Diamond League – the highest-level international track and field circuit. It was the first time that the Diamond League finals were held in the United States. Moad Zahafi (born 9 May 1998) is a Moroccan runner who specializes in the 800 metres. He represented Morocco at the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples, Italy and he won the silver medal in the men's 800 metres event. Clayton Murphy
Clayton Murphy (born February 26, 1995) is an American middle-distance runner. He won the bronze medal in the 800-meter run at the 2016 Olympic Games. He was the gold medalist in the 800-meter run at the 2015 Pan American Games. He ran collegiately for the University of Akron, before signing with Nike in June 2016 and joining the Nike Oregon Project. Early life and education Clayton Murphy is the son of Mark and Melinda Murphy. He was raised in New Madison, Ohio. He attended Tri-Village High School and began to take part in track and field and cross country running while there. Djamel Sedjati (also written Sejati)(جمال سجاتي), May 3, 1999, Tiaret) is an Algerian middle-distance runner specializing in the 800 meters. Unknown in Algeria, he came to prominence in 2021 after running a few meetings in Algeria. He finished second to Mohamed Ali Gouaned in 600 meters with a time of 1:17:40 during the Algerian Winter Championships held in Algiers on 26 March 2021. He also ran 1:45.99 in Batna meeting on 12 April 2021 defeating Mohamed Ali Gouaned, and finishing second behind Mohamed Belbachir in Algiers meeting on 7 May 2021 clocking a personal best of 1:45.86. Michael Arthur Norman Jr. (born December 3, 1997) is an American sprinter. He holds the world best time in the indoor 400 meters at 44.52 seconds. Outdoors, his 43.45, set at the 2019 Mt. SAC Relays is tied as the #4 on the all time list. In 2016, he became the world junior champion in both the 200 meters and 4×100 meter relay. Joseph Fahnbulleh (born 11 September 2001) is a Liberian-American sprinter. An Olympic finalist, Fahnbulleh is a double NCAA champion and finished fourth at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in the 200 meters race.
