2023 Centre Party (Sweden) Leadership Election
The Centre Party (Sweden), Swedish Centre Party's party leader election will be held at an extraordinary party meeting on 2 February 2023 in Helsingborg. The Centre Party will then nominate a successor to outgoing party leader Annie Lööf. Background In the 2022 Swedish general election, 2022 general election, the Centre Party received 6.7% of the vote, which was a setback from the 2018 Swedish general election, 2018 election result (-1.9) and the record 2019 European Parliament election in Sweden, election to the European Parliament in 2019 (-4.1). Löfven II Cabinet
The second cabinet of Stefan Löfven ( sv, regeringen Löfven II) was the Government of Sweden from 21 January 2019 to 9 July 2021. It was a coalition, consisting of two parties: the Social Democrats and the Green Party. The cabinet was installed on 21 January 2019, following the 2018 general election. Emma Wiesner (born 11 November 1992) is an energy systems engineer from Sweden and politician of the Centre Party who has been a Member of the European Parliament since 4 February 2021. Political career Wiesner started her political career as a 13 year old, after having seen Al Gore's film '' An Inconvenient Truth''. After realizing that the environmental movement was her major political issue she chose to join the green liberal Centre Party, where she began regional chairman for the youth wing.
