2023 Campeón De Campeones
The 2023 Campeón de Campeones was the 50th edition of the Campeón de Campeones, an annual football super cup match, and the 49th held in the professional era of Mexican football. It took place on 25 June 2023 between Pachuca, the Apertura 2022 champion, and Tigres UANL, the Clausura 2023 champion. The match took place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, hosting for the sixth time. Like previous editions, the Campeón de Campeones was contested at a neutral venue in the United States. Tigres UANL won the match 2–1 to secure their fourth Campeón de Campeones title and qualified for the 2023 Campeones Cup, facing the MLS Cup 2022 champions Los Angeles FC at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Club Tigres de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, abbreviated as Tigres UANL and simply known as Tigres or internationally as Tigres de México, is a Mexican professional Association football, football club based in the Monterrey metropolitan area, Nuevo León, Mexico. Paulino de la Fuente Gómez (born 27 June 1997), simply known as Paulino, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Segunda División club Real Oviedo. Gustavo Daniel Cabral (born 14 October 1985) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Liga MX club Pachuca. Club career Born in Isidro Casanova, Cabral made his first team debut in 2003 for Racing Club. He played 112 games for Racing until 2008, when he joined River Plate. Oscar Alfredo Ustari (born 3 July 1986) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Major League Soccer club Inter Miami.
